Had the pleasure of meeting up and riding the Cherohala just this past week with TNT. Was a very nice ride and the girl can probably outride most members on this board. Had a great time.

Met several US and Canadian friends through the Forum and even got to ride with some of them, both stateside and in Europe.

As a rule, if I know I'm traveling to a place where one or more board members live, I PM them in advance to see if we can meet and kill a few beers.

And I'm pleased to say it worked in reverse, too, with Forum friends visiting Italy. Always got to meet great people this way.

There's been just one notable disappointment with a non-US member (who'll forever remain unnamed) who seemed to get all hot and bothered that

I'd want to drink some warm beer with him in his hometown :****: (get the clue, Sherlock?).

Warm beer? The great united kingdom? Or some podunk biker town in the southern U.S.A?

Pretty straight forward. I was wondering if this practice is as common as it seems. Maybe I overestimate how many members go on rides together.
I met airboss in S.llinois...

Didn't really meet - he was stopping for fuel on an LD ride - I noticed the sleek look of an FJR and went over to talk. He didn't have much time and that was it.

Does this count??
Yep, that counts.

How about hanging out with some Italian guy (& a few American brethren) on the BRP.....(not counting or including WFO or the lovely INN in the mountains of Santa Cruz) :good:

How many times do I have to tell you:

"You meet the nicest people on an FJR!"

Even Mike-H. ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha

Sheesh...kids, newbies and pilgrims! :dribble:

I don't know anyone who has an FJR. I have seen a couple around town but thats about it. I would love to me other FJR owners.

I've seen plenty of TN riders and riders from that area of the country. It shouldn't be to hard to arrange a ride and either go, or meet somewhere together. I didn't have the longest ride, but I did 600 miles for lunch that day :) (see link below)

Great lunch

Met HYCLE yesterday, after exchanging posts for a week or so. Kinda neat to have a fellow FJR pilot in the 'hood. Had a nice conversation, spoke of getting together for a ride, different bike mods, etc.

It was nice meeting you Frayne! I enjoyed the ride very much. Now don't go telling all these guys I can probably outride them.....they will never want to go riding with me. :eek:hwell:

Just got to meet FJRSKI, FJRGARY and Randy at the Carlisle ride this morning. Thier were a bunch of FJR's up there. Unfortunately, we showed up a little late, so I didn't get to meet anyone else. Ended up riding with another group of riders out to Gettysburg.

Coming home from Circuit City yesterday, I started up I81 and happend to merge in behind an FJR, also happend to get off at the same exit. Stopped at a light and chatted for a bit. Found out he lives less than a quarter mile up the road from me :dntknw: didn't get a screen name.

Met the infamous jestal. One of our best :clapping:

I haven't MET anyone but have talked to a few. One fellow lives just a few miles from us and he stopped in at my husband's business and introduced himself. I have yet had the opportunity to meet Michael. And have heard from another member who saw an FJR on the interstate, emailed me to ask if it was me. It turned out that he was right...was out with the husband and daughter for a ride and we were heading home. I would love to meet with my forum friends but hasn't happened yet. My best friend in So. Calif. emailed me to tell me that her brother in law just bought an FJR. I emailed him and found out he frequents the forum. So, if you are reading this, Hello Neil! hope you are enjoying your new ride.

Hi there Ms Lilly! Yep, I'm enjoying the ride quite a bit, even got Janet on it a couple of times (she'e even considering an over-nighter on it now). After the 600 mile service next week, I'll take it up into the local San Diego mountains for a real ride. Here's hoping the dreaded "surge" isn't part of my factory options.

Haven't met anyone in person from the forum yet, but I'm still a flaming newbie. I've got time...
