My best friend in So. Calif. emailed me to tell me that her brother in law just bought an FJR. I emailed him and found out he frequents the forum. So, if you are reading this, Hello Neil! hope you are enjoying your new ride.
Hi there Ms Lilly! Yep, I'm enjoying the ride quite a bit, even got Janet on it a couple of times (she'e even considering an over-nighter on it now). After the 600 mile service next week, I'll take it up into the local San Diego mountains for a real ride. Here's hoping the dreaded "surge" isn't part of my factory options.

Haven't met anyone in person from the forum yet, but I'm still a flaming newbie. I've got time...
My wife and I took off on a 3,500 mile vacation on the FJR 2 days after it's break in period. If the last almost 2 years with my bike are an indicator, you're really going to love your FJR!

I have yet to plan a ride or ride with anyone through the board, but, I have run into a member in the upstate NY area. Last year while looking for a place to stay in the village of Lake George, we found a hotel, and as we were pulling in, I noticed an FJR in the lot, and didn't really think anything of it. After we got checked in and relaxed, we decided to hit the back deck for an adult beverage, and a cigar. A very shy young lady from Long Island proceded to ask us if the motorcycle out front was ours, cause her man had the exact same kind of bike. Turns out, we met Tim05FJR and his lady Cheryl. Great people, we ended up having brunch the next day, and then parted ways.

Hey Tim, if you are ever headed upstate again, gimme a heads up, if we can make it, we will, there are some great roads in the Adirondacks, once you get away from the towns and little hamlets, there are very few, or no LEOs to be found, you just have to watch the jerkoffs in cages utilizing the entire road for their cornering pleasure, I had a few come at me half in their lane, and half in mine, gotta watch your line.
