I have an Audiovox Schematic and Trouble Shooting Guide I can send you by e-mail (.pdf). No marketing here, I put this together when I was active on the Concours Owners Group forum. Send me an e-mail at bergmen-at-pacific-dot-net (@.) and I'll return with an attachment.

Thanks for the assistance Dan - just sent you an email

Glad to help, pdf sent. Any others, let me know.

Is there a chance that it is taking very long to set the speed? Once, with my own Audiovox setup, the clamp that fixes the control cable to the throttle cable loosened up and as a result it took really long for the additional slack in the beaded chain to be taken up. When I had the opportunity to get under the tank I just adjusted the cable and tightened up the clamp and all was good.

So back to this thread:

1) My good friend and unpaid consultant Brodie helped me go through electrical troubleshooting. Everything seemed good in terms of connections and contact, and matched the expectations provided in Bergmen's guide.

2) However there was a small voltage on the purple line with the brake light NOT activated, precisely 61mV. This lead me to believe that similar to other notifications on the forum, this was preventing the system from engaging the cruise control.

3) I did purchase a relay to install - I found a nice place under the left side panel to install the relay using an existing screw.

After install, I took it out for a test drive and voila! - cruise back in order, so no need to upgrade to a Gen 3 ES (darn it and happy at the same time)!

Thanks so much to Brodie and Bergmen for their help in getting to the bottom of it, and to the collective of the forum who pointed me in the right direction from the start.

Does installing a relay in the brake feed cause any delay in deactivating the CC?

No. I had an issue develop with a light controller back-feeding

voltage into the brake circuit. Cured with the installation of a

relay.

Installation seems pretty straightforward but was a little

frustrating till I got it sorted. Now works perfectly.

These helped:

I figure that saved you at least $15,000 -- more than enough to pay for gas and hotels on the way to and from SFO 2018. See you there!
