Yeah, the agents begin training as soon as they can walk..

Plan on another 2 AZbeemers.  Uri and I plan to join you for your Birthday celebration.  Room reservations are made @ Penasco del Sol.  Looking forward to a great weekend.  Bob
Sounds great Bob and Uri, we're getting a nice size crowd for Rocky Point Mexico Ride!

Hi Don,

How many riders have confirmed this trip with you? I'm a solo rider, never been to Mexico on a bike and am somewhat concerned about personal safety. I would feel better about riding with a larger group as well.

Thanks,

Dan Zaremba

Hola Dan, There are eight AZ Beemers and four FJR Forumites going on this ride.

BUMP REMINDER: You will need a Valid Passport for yourself and Mexican Insurance for your motorcycle to ride the Mexico trip next week.

I just called Erin at https://www.MexPro.com 1-888-467-4639 and my policy is being mailed to me. The Plus Extended Coverage adds Uninsured Motorist and Vandalism Coverage to a base policy.

2003 Yamaha FJR 1300 valued at $7K with ABA Plus Extended Coverage cost me $62.43 from Friday, 10/28 at 10AM through Monday 10/31 at 10AM. We are coming home on Sunday afternoon.

48 hours from now we of the AZ FJR Forum will be riding to Mexico, if you have any last minute questions or concerns, please contact Don Stanley at either 480-440-4666 or [email protected] and I will be happy to answer your questions! Here are just a few of the questions Papa Chuy Viejo has been asked.

1.

Question: Is it true that SkooterG wears a dress when he rides his moto down in Mexico? And if so, why does he do that?

Answer: Yes, SkootyG wears either a summer dress or formal attire depending on the weather and season. No, I do not know why he does this. Next question, please.

2.

Question: Besides my valid Passport and Mexican motorcycle insurance, will I need to change my money to Mexican pesos before we cross into Sonora Estado?

Answer: No, in the "Free Zone" US Dollars are accepted and you get a fair rate of exchange. I do advise small bills only, nothing over $20 bills for Mexico exchanges.

3.

Question: Is it true that SkooterG will be running a car tire on his FJR and that Los Mexicanos will be laughing at him?

Answer: Yes, he will be running an Exalto that should be on a Yugo and Si the Mexicans will be laughing at him. But, not laughing because of the car tire Amigo!

IMPORTANT UPDATE TO 10/28 MEXICO RIDE!

Due to Phoenix traffic and distances traveled, I've been asked to move departure time back to 0930 hours. So, plan on Kickstands-Up at 9:30am from Gila Bend 10/28.

However, Papa Chuy will still be at the McDonald's on the West End of Gila Bend at 0830. I don't want to take the chance someone may not see this departure revision!

REMINDER OF DEPARTURE TIME CHANGE FOR 10/28 MEXICO RIDE:  We're now leaving Gila Bend Mc-D's at 0930, not the previously published time of 0830!!!

El Desierto de Pinacate Altar is one of the driest places on Earth; but still has lots of wildlife.

Here is a picture of El Pendejo Grande - SkooterG taking a photograph. Luckily, the camera is hiding his ugly mug!

I think we all ate our own body weight in shrimp this last weekend; Puerto Penasco (Rocky Point) is the shrimping capital of all of Mexico!

Carl has the perfect bike for exploring Mexico, a KTM 990 Adventure with big aluminum panniers.

SkooterG telling tall tales from the head of the dining table, he was saying BLAH, BLAH, BLAH and BLAH!
