Fantastic ride report and beautiful photos! And I know what you mean about having that special someone to share it with--whether it's on one bike or two.
While I do enjoy my solo commutes to and from the office, they don't compare to sharing a day on the road with my husband. There were several times over the years when he was recovering from one surgery or another and couldn't ride, so I would head out on my own just to get a riding fix. After a couple of hours alone on the road, I would realize it wasn't any fun without him, so I'd turn around and head for home. When he and I go out just the two of us, with no planned route and no agenda, we can leave first thing in the morning, and return home after sundown, wishing the ride didn't have to end.
A couple of years ago we met others, mostly couples and a few singles, who are just as happy spending an entire day out riding (you all know who you are), and it's been great sharing our riding time with them. But every now and then, we still love to take off just the two of us for those all-day wanderings, sometimes only stopping just long enough to top the tanks and grab a drink.
Enjoy it while you can!

Nice ride report. Hits home since my wife also rides. Its a blessing and a curse at times since I too love the alone time.

Love your riding and life philosophy, it's really to the point where just pursuing ye olde' "American Dream" means slaving away 5-6 days and 60+ hrs a week blowing through the youngest and most promising years you'll ever have with your beautiful wife and kids. All for the desperate hope of a "golden retirement" in your 60s touring the south in a Prevost motor coach and stopping at one casino after another... until your S.S. and retirement funds start to dwindle!
No thanks. Work as much as you must, but savor every day/week/year you get together and make dozens of great memories as a couple and family instead of one crazy trip to Disney every couple years. My family did that with me and its one of my favorite things about growing up.
Keep it up guys, and love the ride whether on 2 bikes or 1!

Well thanks Mihalis, It was just a lucky photo taken with a point and shoot camera.
I set the camera on a curb and propped up the front to the right angle, set the timer and was pleasantly surprised when I viewed it later. I supposed I should have cropped the stop sign out from behind me.

Is the wonderful background,in combination with the bike position with you and your wife in the correct position near to your bike with your body and your face in the right attitude with the correct and angle of the lighting and the nice colours that offers this amazing photo!!Seriously,you could make this photo a poster for your house!I was working like a photographer and i had mine shop for years and i know about the good photos..This photo is one of the best that i have seen..!!
