I did make it home today--Monday. Got sooo much to say, people to thank, pictures to sort through and post. It was a FANTASTIC trip, 44 days, but that includes some layovers with family members here and there, about 9,600 riding miles. I was amazingly lucky with the weather, only had a few days of rain, and only ONE of hard rain.
I met a lot of very good people and had ZERO negative encounters with anybody anywhere. No wrecks, no tickets, no problems. I want to start a new thread for a ride report, but after reading through Ralph's outstanding 50-60-70 RR I feel like I'd better take my time and try not to disgrace myself by comparison.
If any one thing really could be a regret though, it's that the hard dates I had for certain parts of the trip were PERFECT for preventing me from attending any part of either NAFO or EOM. And I passed right by both places on this trip, either JUST too soon or JUST too late. I'd have loved to have done them both.
