Gary - I think the dimmable part is just a dimmer add-on. I know ADV monster sells one:

I was trying to figure out how to use a cheapie dimmer and make it work for less $$$, but electronics isn't my strong suit. You can buy dimmers that look exactly like this one for less than $10 on Amazon - I just don't know how to modify them. I tried using diodes but I either did it wrong or otherwise it didn't work.......................
