Latest count of both forums and the SOCAL FJR Riders Group on facebook. I also received word from High Desert Rider that he will have to work Saturday and has bowed out. Now you have a total of 31 Yes, 16 Maybe and 24 no's. All you maybe's need to make a decision today so that Slappy can call and make the reservations for the restaurant.

Update: Please add one more FJR to the list. A fellow rider friend of mine, John, will be going along on his '05 FJR. No passenger. Kitty will be my passenger, as always.

hey you guys do you think it will be cool if i take 2 or 3 friends with me ?

Shouldn't be a problem, just need to get me the names and emergency contact information so I can add them to the ride list and also so Slappy can insure he has a good count. I will put them on the list right now as topcats guests until we get names in place.

Slappy, the count for now is 45 yes, 16 maybe and 27 no. I would put in a reservation for the 45 plus possibly 10 extra in case some of the maybe's decide at the last minute. Not all will be riding, some are pillion. Wow, did you ever think it would get this big.

I've never been on an FJR ride but I've been on others and I've never

seen a ride go together this fast with this many.

It's gonna be fun.

Add me in! It will be my first group ride w/ anyone. May have the better half with me as well, however she can't seem to commit! I'd like to meet-up w/ anyone from my neck-of-the-neighborhood if possible.

Thanks for all your help Dave. I was going to make the call on Wednesday to give the place a heads up. Its Monday and we just added two more.

Called old country and gave him a tentative head count of 50. He said its going to be a squeeze. His whole place seats 88. That does not include the patio.

As of October 12th at 10am, weather.com is reporting for saturday the 17 "mostly sunny with a high of 72". Looks like its going to be a very nice day.

Thats how we roll in SoCal Salty, thats how we roll.

To be honest I was expecting about 20 bikes and 4 pillons. The usual ride. Having nearly 30 bikes and 8 to 10 pillons plus guests is absolutely amazing. Ive only seen HD guys in this size of a group.

...and how many at your table?

That would be 46 and we'd like to be back on the road in about 60 minutes...

Split into 3 or 4 groups and hit McDonalds, Arbys, JIB and Carls all at once might be your best bet for chow.

They have that mexican food place right next door that some might be interested in. Both places are in the same parking lot. Never tried it myself but with almost 50 people the lunch at the country inn will take forever. Just saying

Oh I have already been thinking about this. I was actually thinking of having everyone look at the menu and place preorders so they could get most of it made before we got there.

Ynot I was thinking about the mexican next door and I was going to make a recon mission this weekend but got pulled into something else. Then again the whole reason behind these rides is the social interaction and keeping as many as we can together is ideal. Also since the weather is going to cooperate when can make two or three huge tables and keep everyone in the same area. Need to figure out what bars, I mean establishments, all the HD folks frequent with groups this large. On wednesday I will get an official head count and talk to the owner to put something together. Its all going to work out. I am on the ball.

Sounds like you have it covered.

PS. the bar the HD guys go to is called Chads place and it is on the main drag one block up from the country inn

Slappy,

Please include me as an attendee. I've cleared the schedule and got the house commander's official blessing. Now, hopefully the weather will cooperate!
