Okay, itinerary's been posted. I think we can get away with breakfast if we meet at the station and leave by 0745hrs. I know of a better place than McDonald's that is easily withing FJR-striking range to the staging location.

Directions- From the North:

99 South to Herndon (Grantland Ave.)

Left on Herndon

Right at West Ave. (one signal past Van Ness Ext.)

Left at Bullard (second signal)

Right at Channing and around into parking lot behind station.

From the South:

99 North to 41 North (just past Jensen)

41 North to Bullard Ave.

Left at Bullard

Left at Channing, just before the station (look for it about 1/3 mile after passing Fruit Ave. signal, on the left). It's the only street that goes south between Fruit and West. If you get to West Ave., turn around.

Or, if you have GPS, 1709 W. Bullard Ave. Fresno, CA 93711

I'll try to be ready to roll by 0730, barring any emergency dispatches.

I just have to say that coming from Orangevale and Bakersfield is way above and beyond and I wouldn't be disappointed at all if you can't make it for any reason. From talking to Gene, there are supposed to be many riders coming from out of the area. He wasn't able to confirm the rumors of possible protestors, so don't base attendance on that information. Most of the funerals in this area are peaceful and viewed with nothing but respect. I'll PM my cell number in case you need to contact me.

I am deeply dissapointed I can't be there. The boss denied my request for the day off, even after offering a '2 days of work for 1 day off' deal. I'll be the only computer geek manning the servers that Tuesday. And he told me don't call in sick either. So much for honesty.

I'm proud of all you who are going. Seriously wish I could be there. :angry2: . Please know I am there in spirit. If there is a next time I simply won't ask for time off.

From the PGR site watch list Re: Fallen soldier Lance Cpl. Anthony E. Butterfield, 19, of Clovis, Calif.
I was just advised by a cousin of this Fallen Marine that his family is being harrassed by protestors to the point that they are having to change their plans to claim his body, conduct his funeral, and grieve as a family and church community.
I recommended that they contact PGR immediately to request assistance and establish a mission to assist this family. It is my understanding that the California coordinator is being contacted as this is being written and the family is being contacted to request the assistance of PGR.

I pray we can make this happen.

My sincere thanks to any member who works to make this mission a success and give the family the peace and privacy they deserve in their time of grief and pain.
If this rumor ends up having merit, we need some new faces on FJRs at the ready...
