Oh great, and next you'll be telling us you're going to start this rally at 0: Dark:30
Didn't I tell you the RR is from 8 to 4, PM to AM
rolleyes.gif
Well with that extra time I may be able to actually complete one of the bonuses!
Extra time??? Last I checked 8am to 4pm is the same amount of time as 8pm to 4am

That reading comprehension thing rears it's ugly head again

Not even in the rally yet and I have already failed!

Just make it to Lacrosse...and we'll call it a win!

OK, I might be going to NAFO from Western Colorado if I can hook up with someone both there and back. Age has kind of dampened my enthusiasm for riding alone for long distances. I would also be interested in going to the Twin Cities as I have a brother and nephew there.
Seeing that there's a good sized bunch coming from California you should be able to tag along with someone. The down side of course is you have to ride with some of those Californians

Hey.... I resemble that remark.

Too late now but, it would have been a good idear to implement some type of screening process. The Kalifornia contingent has several very shady characters!

With the Great Lakes cock blocking me every which way, my ride out looks quite boring. Might have to trek through Canada to UP, then cross by Makinac Isl. and down the top side of WI. Could be interesting, got all winter and many beers to think about it

I'm in Chicago freezing my a$$ off looking outside the window at a giant snow drift blocking my garage door. No riding in my near future. It just sucks .. And now, as if it can't get any worse, I now find out that I live right at the tip of the great lakes cock ..

At least (from google maps), it looks flaccid or at the most al dente .. I am safe for now ...

Ill never be able to ride north along the east coast of the lake again without thinking about this ... Thanks for that ....

Sorry, I will re-phrase.

With the Great Lakes pleasantly surrounding me every which way, my ride out looks quite boring, unless.....

There, make your ressies and show up. I would tell you that there will be ICE cold beer there but that wording probably won't work either ;)

Cheers and "try to" Stay Warm!

So if I HAD to ride with Californians that would be OK. As it gets closer to the event maybe some of you could disclose your routes and maybe I could hook up. I could even disclose some of the better rides through Colorado if that is your inclination.

OK Zbear, so if you had to ride across Colorado what route would you take?? Looking for your expert opinion on the fun way across.

As a matter of fact since NAFO this year will be a kinda "meet in the middle" sort of location if anyone has a better way to get from West to East or East to West across your state or a great route you've tried or even just thought would be a good alternative to the slab post it up.

Since it's a bazillion degrees below zero here in polar vortex central

I'll put up an idea or 2 for getting to La Crosse tonight.

Well, the route through Colorado would depend on how long you wanted to linger as there are soooooo many choices. I'll have to get out the maps and put something together. At any rate you would have to love twisted roads.

No one here likes twisty roads

I'm going to start a new thread "Fun Routes to NAFO 2014" post your ideas there.

I just looked at this thread and realized where and when this event is. I haven't been that far north in a while and have never been up there in a bike...I'm in!

Now to see if anyone else is going from Indiana or passing through. Looks like I can slab it to Quad Cities on I-74 or take Hwy 136 to Danville, IL then Hwy 150 through IL to Quad Cities, or?

I'd shoot up north and west via slab or 2-laner of your choice to west of Rockford and amble back roads to Dodgeville...the roads from there get pretty fun. I'm sure the N. Illinois contingent will give an assist.

Where in "midwest" are you located?
