Must be in Texas as Ca is too far for Pants to have a favorite road. But without snow (J/K bad joke after this week) I haven't a clue as to what road or where.

However I'm thinking October may be a good time to go find it after we learn where it is.

To clarify, Ross knows where this is.  He figured it out quite intuitively.  But he wishes to play fair, and thus, he won't guess in this thread.

Let me sweeten the pot.  Doug - this road is in your home State.  And the Giants to which I refer to are awe inspiring.  They simply must be seen to appreciate.

And the next time I see them, I will see you as well.  Bank on it.

Texas sure looks a lot like central California

From where I took this there were Sequoias to the south and Redwoods to the north.

My home state was Minnesota (you'd never know by my accent-eh?)but for the last 42 years it's Ca.   I know of which Giants you speak Pants  but honestly I can probably find you at least six locations that look just like that more or less on either side of the central valley so I'm at a loss at to where this picture was taken other than knowing your last route to YFO.

Ross should spill the beans.

Ok - one last hint:

This road is in California (not Minnesota), and one of the Giants in the previous clue is a national park.

Your clue seems to referrer to Sequoia National Park and the giant Sequoia Redwood trees. But your picture looks like it was taken outside the park at a lower elevation. I'm lost now.😲

Some GE pix from Marfa TX look quite similar, but it's not TX so why am I talking about TX???

Could be Hornitos. I'm throwing out CA 140 as my guess, cuz we've been there, although my hunch is a little more south.

1911 - you are just luke warm, a few hundred miles off, depending on where on 140 you would be referring to.

One of the "Giants" is Sequoia National Park.

Per Goodman's rules, and with deference to Ross (he guessed it correctly in a PM), I'll hold until 8 am tomorrow (48 hours), unless someone guesses it.

Doug - I have no doubt you have been on this road, and if by chance you have not, then you will add it to your regional repetoire.

I'm getting the feeling I should know this, as my brother lived in Lake Isabella back in 2008 for a few years, but I can't place that terrain. In 2019 we rode through there again and went up 99 and over to 100 Giants and up and across 190. 190 was so twisty, there could have been icebergs and volcanos on the side of the road and I wouldn't have noticed.

None of our pics match up with it though, so I'm gonna see what everyone else comes up with.

Wait... I just realized you said Sequoia National PARK.  I was talking about Sequoia National FOREST. They are different. The Forest has a large grove which is where we drove in 2019. Back in 2008 we camped in Sequoia National Park and that is where General Sherman is. So maybe this is on 198? I'm still not sure the location or what the other giant is.

Well there is Avenue of The Giants but that's over in the Coastal Redwoods. Nothing like this picture and I don't believe Pants has been there....yet.

Perhaps I have or will once I find out what damn road it is 😄😄

OK - it's time to reveal the answer.  Maybe I cranked up the difficulty a bit too much?

The road from my last picture is known by 3 names:

J-37

Wagner Road

Yokohi Road

In 2017, we left Ridgecrest, CA with every intention to ride the Lake Isabella Road (Hwy 155) in route to Giant Sequoia National Park.  We got on Hwy 155, and I saw a sign "Trail of 100 Giants", and I couldn't resist.  So we followed the Kern River to the Trailhead, and were NOT disappointed:

From there, we continued up to Springdale for lunch.  While eating, I spotted this road that went straight toward Giant Sequoia, and it looked very twisty and inviting.  So I took it and was not disappointed:

Here we found this beautiful grass valley sitting smack dab in the middle of two GIANT forests.  I found a place to stop and the Redfishes and I had quite an memorable time just sitting there watching the land, and being so grateful for the experience.  Quite truly, one of the best days I've ever had on the motorcycle.

Here is a screen shot from Google.  Again, unless you are looking for the road, Google won't even recommend it.  I dragged the route to it so ya'll can find it:

Again, do NOT pass up this ride if you get the chance.  The road is in decent shape, and it's technical enough, but this road is not about scrapping pegs.  This is about the scenery.

I believe I get to go again?

One of our routes to YFO ran up Kern River, just because Merle Haggard sang about it. Hey! I've ALMOST been there!

The problem with Yokohi wasn’t how hard it was to guess. The problem is how many new places to see that I have added while searching GE for the answer.

Doug - had you been to that road before?

OK friends, let's try again.  This road is absolutely not to be missed.  The riding is stupendous.  I literally could run up and down this road all day.  It is located just north of a warm water town that shares its name with 10 other (11 total) in the United States.  However, for this particular town, a river also runs through it.  And while you are riding this road, you may see many a trout fisherman along the way.

Pants, those seemed like good hints until I checked the most likely suspects. Hot Springs (or Warm Springs) is my thought for the town. I looked in VA first for the steep hills and grassy land and I remember it looking a little like that. It reminded me of 39 but neither of those "spring" towns on 220 have a river.

Hot Springs in Arkansas is an option with 7 being a great road and the Ouachita River, but none of the roads run by the river or have quite the right hills.

I thought I was on the right track with Warm Springs in NC as the French Broad runs through there. The hills look right to me. But I can't see a road that runs along the river north of town. Maybe 208?

I think we can deduce this isn't Kansas.

Doug - had you been to that road before?
I don't think so,  YOU need to show it to me.  That's the first world problem with California, there is so much to see and so many gems like this one. I gotta a boat load of roads waiting for you when your ready to spend a month or six here exploring.

And that's the paved ones, wait till we hit the dirt!

I've ridden that road several times but never really viewed it in the same way as you. Actually i was going to guess hwy 120 in the foot hills before the approach to Yosemite National Park.  Very similar geography.
