gr8eyes: That gentleman standing with Reno John is one of the finest people that you will ever hope to meet! That is Senor Coco, the owner/proprietor of Coco's Corner; his palapa is on the road from Puertecitos, past Bahia San Luis Gonzaga, before you get to Chapala. I've spent many hours speaking Spanish with Coco and enjoying muy bebidas!

I should have put a smiley face on the end of my previous post. I was trying to make a joke. All that plumbing looks like something you would see in a redneck dealing meth addict living in his trailer here in OK. LOL

gr8eyes: I knew that you were kidding! Coco has more crapola under cover than you can shake a stick at! It is a long time standing tradition with Baja moto riding junkies to always leave something with Coco as you pass by his palapa.

On one of the posts holding up his palapa he has a Phoenix International Touring Society patch nailed up; P.I.T.S was the former name of AZ Beemers, until 2003. I left a H-D "Sportster" decal with him a number of years ago; it was still on one of his Coleman coolers the last time I passed by. I could be dead of a heart attack and Coco will live forever!

"ANTI-street ****** anonymous"

Isn't that some kinda double negative?

Maybe I should just add that to my sig line: SPA (Street ******* Anonymous). I like it.

As to the proposed Mexicali tour, sure wish I could 'cause it sounds like a "boatload" of fun (I hear they have some cheap tequila dow 'nere), but I can't see myself hauling myself (or especially my lil dirt bike) 3000 miles to go ride down some dusty dirt roads. That and the proposed time period has already been spoken for by SWMBO for vacational and recreational purposes.

Hola Reno Juan:Thanks for sharing the Mexico Ride Pictures with me. Very nice to meet a fellow member of ANTI-street ****** anonymous!
beeerdons:

Wow, [insert deep breath here] where to start?

-Yes, mexico is very special, fun to trade stories and pics!

- OK on the date, that gives PLENTY of time.

- GREAT on your New Zealand adventure, what fun, an experience of a lifetime for both of you ....what dreams are made of.

- other trips, rallys etc sound good as well. Yep, getting riding time is like tyring to put 40lbs of **** in a 10lb bag.

- Yes, saw your Copper Canyon adventure, That is an amazing area. And without question, the Taharhumara indians really have captured my imagination like few other things.

- When you convince Skoot to go south, it shoudl be on a bike!

- Very generous and kind offer on your Bahia Kino trip! I was there in April. Just did a ride through Kino Viejo and Kino Nueve...I had figured I'd spend the night down there, but after loitering in the area for a while, and being early enough I made the short trek up to Hermosillo. I love the people in Sonora. Good riding, but you have to search it out.

- I'll be curious to learn about the alps and europe, all that is new to me. Some day ........

- Never met skip, however we have mutual aquaintences. You may know this guy, (Goes by RTO on the ADV forum ..i'll have to dig up his card to remember his name) he use to work for Skip and now does his own thing ..custom tours. I'm told the split was on good terms. I met him north of Creel and his group who had paid for a custom tour was happy. I'm not much of a tour kind of person, I kinda like to make my own rules and route as I go. You and Rena look ready for fun! If she lived here, she could be RenoRena LOL.

whew, much fun covered. I might be in Phoenix toward the end of this month, possibly very early December. If I can make the trip that I'm tentativlely putting together, maybe we'll have a chance to meet up and spread more stories.

cheers from reno (not to be confused with rena) ...john

OH, and yes, CoCo is something special, geeze, where to start. Not to mention, he can cook up a mean batch of meth! (just another story to go along with the CoCo folklore .....and as true as half of the other stories LOL LOL)

Buenos Dias RenoJohn:

Had dinner last night with SkooterG, vectervp1, and all of the people you saw in the pictures of Copper Canyon; plus seven other local riders from AZB, FTRG and FJR Forum. Skoot said he would drive the Jeep for a fee; his wearing a mini-skirt would be an extra! At first, he said he wouldn't shave his legs; but after his last beer he finally agreed to it!

How much of a fee will skoot be paying the group?, I'll be glad to give up my portion of the split if it means he won't show up with a skirt (again).
