To case or not to case, ...
Interested in who will be bagging or not-bagging these two rides…

FJR Jon
Jon,

I always have my side bags on especially on our all day rides. You see the left side bag is for my stuff and right side bag is for Iris' stuff (Iris seldon rides with her side bags on....only when we do a two week trip), so I guess that makes me the mule. :)

See ya soon.

Jim

Beer & Cigar sound great! I'm staying at the Microtel & should be in by 5pm. I'm planning on dinner at Ruby Tuesdays with the gang at 7pm.

Did my TBS today and adjusted my idle. My new Cee Baileys +4 +4 showed up as scheduled FedEx this afternoon. Tailbag & Tank bag are on and ready.

Yipee!

My brother with the Busa will not be coming. :( He has some medical issues and riding that far on that bike would not be comfy for him.I still plan on meeting you all at Fullers (the convenient store in Edinburg) on Sat. morning. If you leave Lathem at 8:30 do you know when you will get to Fullers ? I was thinking about 9:15 or 9:30. Does that sound right ?

Thanks Art

Heidi called this morning. She is in NJ and should arrive in the Catskills early this afternoon. We'll probably try out some local roads later today.

I haven't decided if I'll eat with you guys at Sweet Sue's Friday morning or have breakfast at home and meet you curbside in Phoenicia.

Regarding the side bag question, I will probably leave the side bags off and ride with my top case on.

Art,

Sounds about right. Just so you know, we are planning to pull over at the scenic lookout on the Northwest side of the lake (alittle before Hague), I thought a group photo there would be nice.

Jim

Packing up and should be on the road by 2:00 pm. Perfect weather for riding, sunny and cool. Glad the heat wave is over. The pollen makes it tough to keep everything clean. See you guys tonight.

Great. I'll pass along the invite again at dinner and give directions to my home. If anyone is not going to Ruby Tuesday's and would like to join me for beers on the deck, PM me for directions.

Iris and Jim,

Thanks for organizing a great two day ride. Friday was a good time and Saturday was starting off even better! Sorry I had to bail...I thought I had enough tire left to get me through the weekend.

Anyway, I made it home by noon and took the front wheel to the shop and had new rubber on the bike by 1:30. I hope we can hook up again sometime. It was great to meet everyone, thanks again.

Ray

Great ride today!

Thanks Zoom and Zoomm!

A few sprinkles on the way home, but I made good time and the rain sort of felt good along with the 20 degree drop in temp that went with it.

Made it back today , Sunday about 10:45 am - Just in time to catch my son's last spring hockey league game - made for Fathers Day.

Thanks for the GREAT ride and all the effort that was put into making it work.

It was my first group ride ever & I had a blast.

My wife ased me at lunch today if I would do it again - my reply was "In a hearbeat!"

Thanks again & and thanks for the new friendships.

I am confused so I posted this over at Nice Rumble's "Cat and Dak's Ride Report" too...

Sally and I had a TERRIFIC time - great hosts, great company, great roads, great scenery - did I mention the GREAT hosts??! Who knew the Adirondaks would be so great? Thank you thank you thank you Jim and Iris for organizing this. Sally sez her best rally yet! (She keeps telling everyone "...wonderful.") I agree! If you missed this shame on you for 6 weeks!

Very glad to have met a lot of new friends.

Same time same place next year??? (And Tracy Road dry this time!)

1,476 miles round trip. Roadsmarts performed well but are showing significant wear already with 1,477 miles on them. Probably going to need new ones before the Canada trip next week.

Thanks for organizing this trip! We had a great time meeting everyone and visiting the 'dacks for the first time. We left the Super 8 at eight am. and took rt. 2 east into Mass. and some extremely thick fog in the hilltops on either side of the border. All in all, a great weekend, see you later. Conrad

Thank you Jim and Iris for organizing this great event and for sharing some of your favorite roads and rest stops. It was especially nice having an FJR gathering so close to home.

And thanks to Tim and Cheryl for dinner on Sunday. Those of you who didn't make it missed out on some great company and good food in a very unusual setting. And, of course another day of riding in the mountains.

Pictures?? Where are the pictures?? I couldn't make it because of work, but I sure would like to see the pics of the trip.

I posted my thanks to Jim & Iris for the outstanding job of organizing and leading.

I also mentioned that I got caught up with family and such yest. so I can't work on pics until tonight.

I shoot RAW, so I have to touch and convert them before posting. It's kind of a pain with the extra step or two, but it's usually worth it with the results.

I just wanted to say thanks to Jim and Iris also. Cheryl and I had a great time. ( Gizmo too !!)

We just got home a little while ago. Heidi left the cabin at about 9 am this morning so I hope to hear from her soon.

We beat out the rain they are expecting up there, took the long way around, through Mass and Conn. to the Port Jeff ferry out of Bridgeport.

Hope to do this again sometime. It was great to meet new FJR friends and see others that we don't see enough. Some of you guys are so close, we should realy try to do this more.

Tim
