Nice bike and AWESOME wife! Looks well sorted too.Welcome back to the 'next big gift goes to wife' column. :bye:
What looks well sorted, the bike or my wife? Lol.
The bike is actually well equipped:
-Engine update done
-Aftermarket fork springs
-Upgraded shock, cuz Patch is a big boy too.
-Scott's steering stabilizer
-Desert tank
-Hard handguards, but I don't remember which brand
-Aftermarket engine guards
-A couple small things I'm sure I either forgot or don't know about.
Patch did an oil change and transmission fluid change before delivery.
It will need some maintenance soon. Rear tire is close, valve check is coming up, and the stabilizer will need serviced. Oh well, at least I know the guy that did all the previous maintenance is as anal as I am.
Can't wait to go ride tomorrow. I'll take it easy cuz I'm a big sissy. I don't need a trip to the hospital. Haha...As far as wheelies, this thing will do them all day. I did them in a field near my house last night. The guy who sold it to Patch had added a larger rear sprocket, making it so twitchy he was terrified of it and a guy he tried to sell it to balked. Patch fixed that, and currently, the rear sproket is two teeth smaller, so it is easier to manage. Like I said, it doesn't take much to loft it, but it has to be deliberate. I really like the power delivery: Smooth and fast with lots of torque.
The bike is a 2010, but wasn't bought until 2011. I have no idea about the differences between the 2012/2013 Huskys, but I've been told more than once to be glad I didn't buy that Husky. Maybe BS, maybe not, but here, I know I have a solid bike that I won't be able to ride to potential.
It did come with lights, blinkers and mirrors. Last night I hassled Patch because the horn button is missing and the blinker switch is missing the plastic thumb thing. He said, "Well, your horn and blinkers are in a box anyway, so if you want to fix that, good luck." Later on he handed me the box with all the parts in it. Haha...
So, hopefully I'm set. Our next big purchase is either a new F250, or a new Expedition. My wife drives her car much more than I drive my truck, so she'll probably get a new car first. However, gotta pay some stuff off first.
