Hey EL TORO JOE, Havent heard from you in a while, was wonderin if somethin happened to you. Played HOOKIE again today from work and rode most of the day. Man! Every time I throw a leg over my bike and get out and "Wick it up"a little, I 'm more impressed with its performance. than I was the last time out. Most of you guy's probably have tens of thousands of miles on your bikes, and so I'm guessin that your "Wow" meters are probably setteled down by now, But, since my bikes practically brand new to me, Myyyyyy "Wow" meter, unlike my tach needle is pinned. Put 195 miles on the old boy today. Come on spring!!!!!

Me. I rode today. Why wouldn't you. The weather was perfect. Now we just need a good rain to wash the salt and gravel off the roads around here.

68 miles today yeah I know big deal but... no heated gear an it was only 48 degrees. I took a few pics but ain't gonna post here. I'll start sumpin in another thread.

:jester:

Rode in to work. Kind of cold at 28 degrees. I have to visit a few job sites later today, so I will be getting paid to ride this afternoon; probably about 150 miles worth. :yahoo:

Rode in yesterday. 30 degrees @ 5:00 AM.

No offense Tim, but I really wish that this thread would die for the season.

Are you saying the season has started? The snow I was driving through on the way in to work this morning tells me other wise. The first week we have weather where the nighttime low stay above freezing, I think it will be safe to officially kill this thread. Probably some time in July at the rate we are going.

Rode tonight left at 6:00. Got home just a few minutes ago was 30. 50 miles, I know isn't much but it was really getting cold. And man do I need a "much bigger: windshield.

Come on April!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Much better today. Put 100 miles on the speedo,Weather was 54 here in the Cleveland area today, slightly overcast but streets were all dry. Three more weeks to the" Ramble"and one more thing. Wheatie!!!! The next time you get the urge to put a ride like this together, Please could you wait till about a week before the ride to announce it. The last 8 weeks have been torture for many of us.

Come on Spring!!!!!!!!!!!!

Raining here today, so that along with a good head cold made for a "No Go" for my riding today.

I never thought this thread would get resurrected.

Uh-oh, here we go again.

Yep, when this thread returns, you know the enjoyment of daily riding is fast coming to an end. <_<

I rode before sunrise on Friday morning in 40 degree temps and faced that lovely Chicago rush hour commuter traffic. No problems there .... it was the Indiana farmlands that were truly cold at 7am! :cold:

My theory: once you go with heated gear, you can never go back to living without it.

Oh boy, here we go again.

Yes, rode in this morning. It was cooler in Illinois than Indiana; 37 degrees @ 6:30 am.

38 degrees yesterday morning & 39 today...That's Brisk, Baby!

People at the office think I'm nuts. I suppose it's time to retire the mesh gear for a few months.
