I had a fair amount of work done at the dealership including valve clearance check (all well within specs), swap to the new Yamaha design CCT, front fork service, throttle body sync, everything lubed, etc.
Bike started up and the left headlight was out. Right light is on. Both go on when brights chosen.
I ass-ume it is just after 3+ years and 30K miles a bulb blew. My questions: Even if a connection is loose from the service somehow, should I just swap in a new bulb, and if so should I just go for broke and replace the other one too?
I looked in Section 8 of the service manual, but it just says check fuses (OK) and replace bulbs as necessary. I have followed a few threads about bulb options, and I think I'd probably just go with stock. At the risk of getting flamed, does one bulb do duty in each housing as low and high beam?
Anything else I should consider? This sounds like about as easy a problem as they get, but want to buy the new bulbs correctly. The only dealership left standing in Roseburg is a Kawi dealership, and the backup mechanic (who does NOT touch my bike) told me only one bulb is supposed to light up in low beam. So I don't really trust his advice.
Thanks in advance.
OK OK, it isn't Friday but I will accept some **** if necessary BARRY
