I dont know about everyone elses fuel mileage but when I filled up on my trip the dash was saying 40.3mpg and I did the math at the pump and it actually got 40.7 so the computer was lower.

One data point does not tell the tale. Do it a few more times.

If you really want smoothness get the autotune module. No more guessing. Well worth the extra money. I've installed it on my 09 using the dynojet map. I'm not kidding, the bike now needs traction control. The only drawback is that mileage went down to 32-34mpg while riding in the hills. I would like to try the Fuel Moto map as well, if anyone would like to share it, just to see how it compares and possibly keep it as the second switchable map for economy mode.
