I have been wearing something like these Harley boots since I started riding 7 years ago. Love them. Very comfortable. Steel toe too. Probably time to replace them and I will definitely be looking at another pair from them.

I wear these. They are the most comfortable boots I have ever worn and have protected my toes in a get off about two years ago. I had a huge blister on my heal from a pair of workboots that I had just purchased, went into Boot World to exchange them and they told me to try these on. I was thinking that I should wait until the blister healed and come back then, but tried them on anyway. I couldn't even tell I had the blister, they were that comfortable. The pair I have on cost me around 100 bucks.

The Magnum boots are the exact ones I have, which the screw went through the sole. I LOVE these boots, and the soles are great for around the office, but they are WAY too soft for a construction site.

Thanks for the links from everyone. There are a few here that I am going to be looking into.
Tim

I also wear the Magnum's when I ride the ones with the Sympatex (gore-tex) lining even bought my wife a pair and she loves them for traveling on the bike.

For everyday wear on construction and mine sites I wear Vasque Clarion GTX (division of Redwing) a hiking style boot with Gore-Tex keeps my feet dry all year :D list price about $165.00 and I'll get about 2 years out of a pair working on some pretty abrasive surfaces.

I have found a Harley boot that I have got ordered, the "Island" https://tinyurl.com/3f7egp , we'll put them to the "superboot" test here shortly, along with some black dye to cover up those despicable letters plaster on them.
You know, if we catch you out on a Yamaha and you can still read the lettering on those boots, we're gonna have to beat you down.

Nothing personal, though. ;)
as long as you don't add chrome and leather tassles to my bike or tattoo my ass I can deal with it.

......may have to see if I can unsew it now that you mention it. ;)

i bought a pair of alpinestars touring boots from cyclegear and they are probably the most comfortable boots i have ever worn

I bought a pair of ICON Super Duty 2 boots to ride in and work in. Although the height of any boot is personal preference, I like my boots just over the ankle. This are stiff when you first get them, but loosen up fairly quick. They will last, are made well, fit good and don't break the bank. If you like taller boots, then look at the Super Duty 3.

Work/ Riding Boots

Timberland Pro Series 8" Direct-Attach model #38022.

I've never been a big Timberland fan but these are the most comfy boots I've ever owned.

I want to find a pair to try on, but I think I have talked my self into spending the money, and getting a pair of the Sidi On Road boots. Every review I have found raves about them. We'll see.

I just took an 8 day trip in Sidi Strada Evo Rain Boots and they were very comfortable. Boots are like ties, very personal. You may have to experiment.

Reading this got me interested in buying a pair of boots that I could walk around in during the day also. I ended up at Boot Barn and found some black Dr. Martens with a steel toe. I always have trouble finding shoes that fit because god gave me size 13 flippers instead of feet. I put these boots on and they were very nice. They had a wide toe box and were super comfy. I wore them for 6 hours today and they were very comfy. I think they are worth a look.

I have a pair of Icon Super Duty 2's and they are good. The heal is a little large and "chunky" but they are ok. I also have a pair of the Sidi Doha's for the drag bike and love them. They have some feel in the sole and are very comfortable and light. They have a nice sturdy toe also. I have just ordered a set of Teknic Defender 2 waterproof boots for our trip next week from here https://www.motorcyclecloseouts.com/cruiser...+sizes+44+to+48.

Hopefully they will be good, I'm sure they are worth the $100.

TriggerT,

Danner boots - end of story. Best boots you'll ever own and they will last forever. I've had a few pair for the last 13 years at work, but have had a pair of brown ones like these that I just wear around town. You never know when you might have to be ready to grouse hunt.
