Keep the pics of the great adventure coming! So...how many hooligans are in Taos?
--G

What do you mean by Hooligans?
Hola George, There were 50 Hooligans at SW-FOG 2010. But then again, those *******s counted we Los Robustos such as Rob, GalaxyBlue and Papa Chuy twice; we the "normal" sized human beings!

What a great way to spend a down day. Though I ruined my Cdn tan. Got a little sunburnt. Actually was funny as hell walking around town in my shorts and CFR shirt with the big Cdn Maple Leaf on the front. I could almost read the lips of people in cars taking one look at the whitest legs in history and mouthing 'Hes from Canada!"

Had a great dinner and spent the evening shooting the **** with Old Michael and Beemerdons. After the party disapated around 8:30pm (WTF! These guys could never hang with us at a CFR till 3am!) a few of us (SkooterG, 'zilla and his brother Patch) shot the **** till after midnight in the party lot.

Met Duke too. What a cool dog.

Just finished some breakfast and time to get repacked to roll due east towards NAFO. Tom is headed back home to pick up Pam, Rob is heading toward Houston to visit some family. We'll all meet back up in Knoxville for the ride to Bust's to kick his ***.

Me, I think I'm either gonna head for Arkansas and ride some of the AAD300 route, or toward Alabama to visit Barbers Museum.

  I can almost see the scene...set in slow motion...with the worried faces on the locals...saying that slow motion in a low distorted voice as they run for their lives. :D

Hey...send fjrrider, petey or rushes a PM...maybe they will accompany you through some good AR riding??

Have fun...and thanks for the posts.

You know why their was no update yesterday.. damn Iggy :)

The three amigo's have split up! Rob headed south to Houston to visit family, Tom went North to pick up Pam. Me, I'm headed east to Alabama to visit the Barber Motorsport Museum before NAFO. We'll all meet up again at NAFO and ride home together to kick Bust in da' nuts.

I pulled out of Toas (its official now!) and rode Hwy 64 through the mountains, up through Eagles Nest and Cimmaron Canyon. Dammit, I should've rode on Saturday. Great roads! But all three of us needed the downtime. I ruined my Cdn. tan by getting sunburnt bobbing around the pool.

Cimmaron Canyon was a fitting send off though:

Their was a sign in the town of Cimmaron saying that they were the gateway to the plains. WTF?! Mountains all around. Then I round a corner and its flatter 'n ****! The ride between Cimmaron and Amarillo... well lets just say it makes Saskatchewan look like the Rockies! You can see Amarillo from 45 miles away! No joke!

Rode to Clinton OK and spent the night there. Not much to say about that.

Got on the road today and didn't even have my liners in at 8:30am. It was gonna be a scorcher! I had my cool vest on by 11am. Long story short, record hi temps here. Easily over 100F all day. Dammit, I'm Canadian, I don't DO hot! Kicked the **** out of me after stopping about 5 times to recharge my cool vest. Made it to Conway AR, just north of Little Rock after 400 miles. Sitting in my hotel room with the AC cranked.

Gonna go to bed early and try to get out early in the AM tomorrow and makes some tracks before somebody throws coal on the furnace.

Thanks for keeping us in the loop.

Stay away from that Petey. He would just slow you down by showing ya all the twisty roads.
No ****. He and Nosecone are nothing but trouble! Theirs a reason they were designated CFR enforcers.

I was going to do some riding around Arkie.. Up around Mena, or some of the routes from the AAD500. But it was just to damn hot. I've got to get to Barber for tomorrow evening, spend the day their on Wed, then do the 250 mile hop up to Knoxville for the festivities.

Have fun in the heat tomorrow. Will it hit 35?

Is that 35 Canadian or 35 American?
It depends...is that 2x4 Canadian or American?

I figured 35 Canadian is something like 350 degrees...so I figure that would be real uncomfortable to ride in. I'm guessing that 35 Canadian is something like {32 degree plus 35 x 2} = 102 degrees plus or minus 5 kelvin.

Time for a math lesson since the American educational system apparently sucks turnips.

To convert celcius to the dark ages (F)

- Take degrees C and multiply by 2

- Subtract 10%

- Add 32

- voila, the answer

(35x2)-7+32= 95F

Any Grade 5 Canadian kid can do this in their head. Are you dumber than a 5th Grader?

So yer sayin' 35 is hot...so was I...and I think my 35C prediction is gonna be real close for ol pasty legs.

Thanks for the science lesson...I always love those. Can you give another? :D

There are a couple of calculactions which work, I believe the technically correct scientific conversion factor is based on the fact that at -40, both C and F are the same.... well that's what I was taut way back in skool when we had slide rooles......... therefore, [(xC + 40)* 9/5] -40 = yF........ gosh, 35C comes out to 95F

DAMNit all...

Do you have ANY idea how painful it is to have hot coffee shoot outta your nose??

And you fookers owe me a new keyboard.

Steve - see ya Thursday. Ride safe.

Seeing as I have split for the other two (I let them post up for me) Sunday I left Toas New Mexico and got semi lost getting out of town. Time was 7am and temp was 51

Rolled into Topeka KS just as the sun was setting. I happened across a crime scene on the interstate. That was kind of strange.

Sorry no pics!

Monday I got up a little late and fill up the tanks and left town. If you asked me what did I see in which state, I couldn't tell ya. I travelled in 5 states and 1 province. If it wasn't for taking off my outer jacket I wouldn't have put my foot down in the state of Missouri. I got caught in rush hour traffic in Indianapolis. I thought I was going to get picked off a couple of times..

When I stopped for gas for the first time the woman at the store couldn't understand how it took so much to fill my bike. I had to tell her I had two tanks. Oh the fuel cell worked great.

So I'm home to do some laundry maintenance on the bike and pick up Pam.

Sunday was 1224kms Monday was 1698 kms
