Just made reservations at the Microtel. The selection is down to rooms with 1-Queen bed at $69 + tax/night, so reasonably affordable. Only 2 rooms left at that rate when I checked.

Just to refresh back about 200 posts ago.

The hotel has a 3 nite discount. It's called "Stay 3 and $ave" and equates to 20%

A bunch of us are coming in Thurs nite.

Hell ya! If you don't stay three nights how ya gonna ride both routes?

Well, I guess if you lived within a couple hours of Marietta you could do it. ;)

Coming in Friday evening after tasting a few fun roads on the way in...leaving Monday morning with some more taste testing on the way back to Wheaton.

We're incorporating (one side of) the East Loop on our ride down, it's in our path down so why not?. So that's a Thurs deal, Friday; planning on the Highland Scenic Hwy- WV loop here, then Sat, do the SEO West loop. Sunday ride back, we will take the part of the East Loop that we left out coming down to Marrietta.

3 days with both loops, plus an extra 370mi loop thrown-in for sum additional memories

That should give us a lil bit of everything.

X-cellent!

More company is always welcomed as long as we can keep it to a max of 5 (maybe 6) bikes. It gets kinda sluggish in big packs and we got some ground to cover being this is the longest of the loops.

Why the Parkway in WV?; Well, my whack job friends all brag about the scenic vista views from this Parkway ride, always said it's a must do if in the area. Guess I do listen! ;) So anyway, I planned a pretty nice (& fun) route to-and-from as well :)

And if "Marty the one man party" (Oface) is in town, he may want in on the WV venture as well.

Marty- I know ya can't respond (here). So map it out Mr. Basecamp extraordinaire :)

Riding in Friday since it's about 4.5 hours away then leaving Sunday, probably after riding half the western route...unless you guys are so much fun we can't resist staying late.

Highlands Scenic Highway is in WV. A very nice area, too. Me likey. Blue Ridge Pkwy isn't. It starts & runs the length of Virginia... then into NC.

We got this ride included in one of our days.

Loop here

Nice route...you'll enjoy it.
Yeah, or head south @ Summersville on US 19 to go over the New River Gorge Bridge... they have a neat visitor center there and stairs going down to the river. Then hang a right onto 16 and continue on the route.

Thinking for Friday when some are still riding-in (to the event).

Duly noted! Thanks
