So, thinking...
I'm calling ********!! We all know that thinking and KJ don't mix.

You jus are lost on my Bavarian ingenious mentality! And no, I don't need to see the pic of the lawn furniture that my son put together lol.

I still think believe, mucho entertainment value has been lost without you and Don bunking up together :( JSNS!

Quick update - We've got a solid west loop now - Denny has put together a great 350-ish loop and 0Face has whipped it into just about every Garmin format known to man. Working up an east route now, should have everything buttoned up in a couple of weeks and posted for download.
Hat's off and huge thanks to both Denny and Marty!!

Wayne

Marty is the one man party with Basecamp. GPX werks 4 me.

Thanks Wayne.

ODOT did quite a bit of paving in this area last year,so several of these roads will have very good pavement.328,685,377,792,677 and 676 were all paved last year.669 and 339 were paved the year before. It's especially good to see 676 in great shape again. It's one of my favorite roads, but it hasn't been in good condition for about 5 years.

For those who like their roads really flat, straight and boring,we included 530.

With the roads being so straight and flat what difference does it make if they are repaved? ;-)

Hello boys and girls,

I thought that I would drop you all a line to make you all jealous.
I put 489 miles of flat, straight, boring, S.E.O. roads on the bike yesterday. I have planed three trips down already this year and all three were washed out by our lovely Ohio weather. But Tuesday was a "Grand Slam". 84 degrees and sunny in Marietta.

93 out of Dover is great for high speed sweepers.

555 out of Zanesville is a little salty and gravely but still fast.

555 South of 78 is very salty and gravely especially in the turns.

555 South of 550 is a race track .

I stopped at Big Four Motorsports and they have one set of Bridgestones for the FJR but both of their 14 FJR's are gone.

800 North of the river is clean, clear, and dry. The bridge right before 26 is down to one lane, but other than that it's a clean shot up to New Philla.

12 hours, 2 bottles of 5 hour energy, half a bottle of Tylenol, and 489 miles of pure fun.

I can't wait to see everyone this June in Mariesville.

Does make me a tad jealous!

...but a 1/2 bottle of Tylenol? HS!, zero needed anymore here. One of the many benefits of having 'the expensive bike'. I guess with my pain relief savings, I've only got 250 more years to offset the additional cost of the bike :)

Seriously tho, it sounds awe----some!. A little grit and sand this time of year is to be expected. Thanks for the tease ;)

Maybe if we can get BackFlo to wear his wig again that might be just enough to clinch a spot for me.

I remember that. I was wondering WTF is THIS!

Food for thought. With so many riders attending, everyone should start thinking about which loop they plan to ride each day so we avoid having a fuster cluck out on the road... We have the west loop nailed down and are working on the east loop. I'm putting together a self service type registration where everyone can select a ride pace group and which loop they plan (initially) to ride. With this many riders, I would like to collect some emergency contact info just in case something goes down that path.

This will be a basic user survey via eventbight - the data collected will be deleted when I get home from the trip. It will only have name, city, state, email, e-contact, and e-contact phone number. I plan to carry a hard copy of the list on me, not for distribution - ride groups can exchange rider contact info in the parking lot if you chose to do so.

So start thinking about it - and I'll get the link posted this weekend.

Here's an example:

Thursday - ride in, ETA NLT 8pm

Friday - ride East Loop

Saturday - ride West Loop

Sunday - ride a self-built WV loop

Monday - ride home.

Heading down this weekend (reservation at the Microtel for Saturday night), hope I can get Denny to come out and play on Sunday.

Ok here you go Wayne,

Thursday - Ride to Elkins, WV

Friday - Ride in arrive mid to late afternoon(Enjoy parking lot entertainment)

Saturday - Ride whatever loop you want me to and challenge Joe to keep up with me (Enjoy parking lot entertainment)

Sunday - Have a blast riding home

TS1 Groupe:

Thursday - ride-in, ETA 5-6pm (taking in half the East Loop on way down)

Friday - ride Scenic Hwy West Virginia (homemade) Loop

Saturday - ride West Loop

Sunday - ride home (finish 2nd half of East Loop on way back)

If a lot are doing the West Loop on Sat, we'll CCW (or CW it) away from the masses.

Let me make this clear - I am not going to collect the info here manually. I will have a link for each of you who wish to participate to go and submit the info. I don't have the time to cut, paste, polish, etc. This data will be collected via Eventbright, which spits the data out in an excel file.

The intent was for everyone to start thinking about it so when I get the event set up, everyone is set to fill out the info.

The link has not been published yet; we have the west loop completed and the files are set up on my host server for download - I have not added the link to the Ramble site yet because the East loop is not finalized yet.

Are the loops and GPX files posted somewhere yet?
