I should be arriving in the area about this timeframe with a couple friends from CA. Our route is bringing us up from the south via the Cherhola Skyway, Deals Gap and Blue Ridge. We're considering a diversion to Marrietta. I guess we'll see how everyone feels about doing some trips on the flat boring roads before heading back to CA.
Make sure you route your Kali buddies back west through MO/AR so they can atleast have some fun before they hit those Colorado bumps...

Well, thank you - just by mentioning the "W" word, you have now pretty much guaranteed that some crappy, freak of nature weather event will happy during the 1 to 4 May time frame...

Anybody watching the weather?

Nat. Weather Service is calling for low 70's the first weekend in May. YEA !

Only 32 more days.
Yeah...WTF man?!

No jinxes please.... there will be no more mention of the W word!! (as if you had any control of it anyway........). Good gear, good to go!

Sweet! That means the Canadians will have all those flat boring and straight roads to themselves AGAIN.

BOY! You guys are certainly superficialous.

I will not mention the W. word again for fear of offending your delicate sensibilities.

Wow, Did you see that black cat. We got the big Ju Ju going on here. When I get dressed before a hockey game I always dress my left leg first, then my right, then my pants, then shoulder pads, then left elbow, then right , then jersey, then gloves, and helmet last. It is very important to always have the helmet on last. You can never tell when the local sports guy wants to do an interview. Remember helmet is always last.

Only 13 more days.

Agreed. & Bob, time is growing closer. It is looking more like I may be joining yous guys.

Ya that Saturday it was like a Monty Python skit... "RUNAWAY! RUNAWAY!" We had a great day of riding, we ate at that Harley place, I forget the name. No Harleys in sight. But we did leave some pretty respectable puddles on the floor. Some were even clear!

You could have joined us taking refuge in the huge gazebo thingy.. good times!

BTW, that's the real reason we won't can't go back to Caldwell. Moosehead and the boys turned their room into a sauna trying to dry everything out. Betcha that room still stinks.

I'm officially bowing out of this one. Wife goes back to work that weekend from maternity leave. There's a rally for the Nighthawk guys down in Arkansas the weekend before and I'll be headed there. Last chance I can take advantage of her being off work.

Timing is everything and it just doesn't work out this time. Maybe next year.

Sorry to hear you won't be able to join us. Hope next year works out for ya

Herm.. T-3 (or so) weeks before the Ramble and the weather up here is still to ****** to get the bikes out. :/

Have the routes been set? I might be in the neighborhood next weekend(depending on weather). Would like to run some of the roads beforehand.
I don't know if any routes have been set (that's not on my plate this year)

...but if they haven't, you could take a look at last year's Ramble routes in last year's thread.

What day's are you thinkin? Maybe I could meet you down there...for a day ride
That would be great! NEXT weekend(4/20-21)) most likely. Get there Sat. late afternoon and be ready to ride all day Sun. Head south Mon.

Bit of info to impart; I'll be on an OldWing! 1800; pegs ground down 'cause Bike has limited clearance. In other words, I won't be able to hang curve for curve. I'm seldom slow..........unless I get in "tourist mode", but I can't match the cornering capability of an ST.

Plan on bringing FZ up for Ramble. Will corner with most anything on the street.

Robert,

I replied to your PM before reading this...Sunday would work for me. Where are you planning on spending Saturday & Sunday nights?

FYI...The Best Western in Caldwell is all booked for next weekend.

Well had a real crap week and won't be making this one. Lowsided pretty hard this weekend. Good things - no permanent damage to anything on me. Bad things - bike totaled, broken ribs which needed surgery and not sure when I'll get back on. I got really lucky on how it turned out but still sucks all the same. Hopefully get discharged yommorow. Looks like you need to find a new riding partner, Petey.
