Is that "scrap-ed up" as in off to the junk yard? Or "scrape-d up" as in off to the hospital?

Inquiring minds want to know.

For those who really care to know, it's actually a unique combination of the two. After an illustrious carrier spanning some 40yrs. I've managed to "wadd-up" any number of cars, trucks, and motorcycles, most times earning me a ride in the back of an ambulance leaving me with more scrapes, cuts, stitches, and scars to numerous to mention. That being said I've already been in the hospital twice this year so far, neither of them in an ambulance so I figure I'm already ahead of the curve. But, The home opener at Nelson Ledges will be in June this year. This will be my 3rd. Season on the GSXR 600 I've only had a couple of get-off's on this one, but for anybody out there in cyber-space that's ridden a 250 or 420, 2 stroke and experienced the power band rush, and know from experience how fast **** happens, then you can appreciate running a fully set up Racebike at 14,000 or 14,300rpms (basically running them at the rev. limiter.......or for the unfortunate few who don't know what that means it means (WIDE OPEN) Crashing is just part of the learning curve in a sport that has little or no margin for error!!!!!!! Oh Yeh, where was I? My screen name Yeh!!!!Is it May yet?

I'm thinking of doing some foward recon this Thurs. Anybody else in? This is strickly a voluntary mission, some may not come back alive.

Beth is interested in leaving Thurs afternoon as well, she does not like to do early when she has a day off and I can't blame her. Riding to Columbus and getting dinner then working our way east on Friday sounds appealing. We are 3 1/2 hours from Columbus and can get away from Indy at 3pm Thursday.
Sounds like we need BikerGeek to host dinner Thursday night.

If I depart directly from work, I'm 200 miles from IronPony. Call it 3hrs. If I take a half day, I could depart at 1130, and in Columbus by 3. If I'm two up, it would be a 1-1:30ish departure from the house and 4hrs to the Pony, which still puts us there around the time you and Beth would get in. We'd have time to run through WV Friday before looping back to Marietta...
Beth was able to take a personal day so we can head for Columbus by 3 on thurs no problem now. Be at the Pony by 6ish and maybe look for some dinner.

The "Slow Ride Trophies" are supposed to be done this next Mon.

I think bockelrider and wife will be there to defend their two-up championship and abercrombie is a possible maybe to defend his singles victory.

Wheaty will give a demo on flat repair.

It's gonna have to warm up a LOT in the next 30 days! -20C here this morning again. Fer fecks sakes.

But were still on for the trip down. Planning on stopping at PCA on the way down and mounting up a rack and top box on Jim's VFR. He seems to think it'll only take 30 minutes. LOL!

We've got a pint or two bet on the time it takes to mount it up. I'm saying 2.5hrs and that's finishing it up with duct tape. If were late in arriving on Friday, that'll be why.

Steve, grab Duane and bring him down with you.

That's what you said last year... Eitherway, my plug kit is packed and ready for you or Joe.
Wayne,

I learned my lesson leaving Murphy a couple years ago. I always have the StopNGo plug kit, sticky strings, glue & Slime Electric Pump under the seat now. I will always be grateful for the help that Sunday morning...but I ride way to much by myself, to not always have that stuff on the bike.

I guess I'll never live that one down...

I told Jim to mention that he was referred to PCA by the FJR guys - just to reinforce that the time and donations from PCA were well spent. He's going to order his parts and put them on in the parking lot at PCA. Pfft. What could possibly go wrong with that plan!

So...you guys are showing up the Tuesday after the Ramble?

Naw, I'll be there on Friday. I'll just leave him in the parking lot and pick'em up on the return trip if the stop kills to much time. I'm not taking 2 days off of work and riding 2000 miles just so he can **** with his top box to save shipping costs.

Were going to try and cut out of work at 3pm on Thurs and see if we can find a place to conk somewhere south of T.O. Regardless, barring weather, I'll see all you lovers of flat, straight and boring roads on the Friday night.

Slogan for this years SE Ohio Ramble is "All your roads are belong to us".
