Count me in... hoping to find a roomie for this one.
Awesome~! It would great to have your presence again Lisa :)

...and, you have the most custom paint job of any, so we need the diversity as well! Get your booking done, then get on the list.

+ read back about 10 posts, I believe another female (FJRfarrier) was looking for a roomie?, plus there is a Room Share thread here on it.
Yes...... I was looking for a roommate....

And then I booked a single queen room.

But!!... If there is another female, I would be willing to reconsider... If a double bed room is still available.

(Sorry about distracting from the original intended theme of this thread....)

Message me LCB... If interested.

Might need to bring yer sled KJ. Steve...I think you're gonna need to trailer down, and hope the snow is gone by the time you get there.

68 Days and counting....

I read that, looked out the window and immediately thought, no f'n way!

But last year was the same. I got the bike out for the first time of the year about a week before they ramble.
Yup. Same here. The snow is falling... and accumulating.

At least the frigid temps have left for a bit... But the say they will be back for the rest of February.

March is looking a bit more promising... and then April... And then the Ramble!

I will be there...need to get some "off season" things done on the bike, and order a front tire for the bike. Somehow, I don't think Pilot Powers will make the trip and back.

Ah yes, hard to believe we will be riding soon when looking out the window.

Last year (and I thought that was a bad winter!) I picked up my new wheels on March 1st from my dealer. It was 52F and pretty nice.

No way this year, our snow banks are 8-10ft tall. CrAzY!

Last year was much harsher than this year. It's still stupid, but not as bad this year. Had a few inches of snow yesterday, and warmed up to just below freezing. Supposed to go to -30 tonight again though.

Coming back from last years Ramble, Jim and I were coming up I79, temps were about 60F. Just before we got to Erie, we rode into some rain and temps dropped about 15 degrees. We were so close to Erie we decided not to stop and just soldier on through. We ended up stopping in Erie because were f'n cold. We killed about an hour there. The rain stopped and we hopped back on the bikes. We ended up across the border just before sundown. Not wanting to deal with the Toronto traffic in the AM, we decided to get around T.O and grab a hotel on the north side. Temps were about 40F. For some reason, we decided to run about 60 miles north of Toronto to Barrie.

Stupid thing to do because the temps fell to about 35F and after dark. We ran up the 400 about 75mph. I had on my heated liner so I wasn't to bad. Jim, on the VFR didn't have that luxury. I could tell by the time we got to Barrie he was getting hypothermic. We checked into the hotel then ran down the road to get some food. Jim was still shaking. We got back to the room and he didn't eat, he made a bee-line for a long, hot shower.

Let hope this year the weather breaks a little earlier.

28 days until Spring and I can't wait!!!I've only been able to get the bikes out a few days this winter.

See everyone at the Ramble.

I have not ridden, since before Halloween. Next appointment with the doctor is April 6th...hope he's gonna have good news about when I can get back on the bike.

The heck with what the doctor says. Ride if you want too. I stayed at a Holiday Inn last night. My advice has to be as good as his right???

Hoping your news is good.

I am sure the doc would not prevent you from getting on the bike. NOW, actually RIDING it around might be a problem given your situation. GLWD.

And if the doc says you can't pilot the FJR.... barter with him and see if you can ride passenger..... :)

It's at least a little bit less strenuous..... depending on who you would ride with, I guess. :D

I'm not sure if I could even get it off of the center stand at this point...limited to not lifting anything more than 10 pounds.

Well there ya go! I will have my smuggler on... but it easily exchangeable with the seat. ;)

But, we can still hope that you will be cleared for riding your own bike.... because it doesn't get much better than that. :D
