Joe - Keep a positive attitude and realize that no matter what, the doc is probably going to be less than supportive when it comes to riding.

I have not ridden, since before Halloween. Next appointment with the doctor is April 6th...hope he's gonna have good news about when I can get back on the bike.

I'm sure he knows how passionate I am about riding...and I'm positive I'll be back on the bike, sooner or later. Just hoping for sooner. I went off the pain meds, the day after you were here for the bike show, no pain at all, have been back to work for the past two weeks, and stopped wearing the brace this past Wednesday. I don't plan on trying to get on the bike before my next doctor appointment...which will be three months after the surgery.

The heck with what the doctor says. Ride if you want too. I stayed at a Holiday Inn last night. My advice has to be as good as his right???

I am sure the doc would not prevent you from getting on the bike. NOW, actually RIDING it around might be a problem given your situation. GLWD.

I'm not sure if I could even get it off of the center stand at this point...limited to not lifting anything more than 10 pounds.

Now if Beemerdons wasn't incapacitated in the hospital, he would pipe up with some lame Irish penis joke right about now...

...oh well.

Why anyone would intentionally leave Interstate 77 to ride twisty, curvy, undulating, 2 lane side roads, completely baffles me!!!

Interstate 77 is such a sweet Highway!!! Almost completely straight, and plenty of cops presents to insure that no one speeds, or starts acting up.

Surely must be what anyone in his right mind would certainly want to seek out for his day ride.

Sorry to hear this Geek, I assume it is because you are saving vacation time for you and wifey to ride to BC?

Obviously kidding, have roomed with Peter since 2006...and he hasn't wasted the effort to kick my ass the other times, I doubt he'll start now.

Soo.... I guess my boss understands how motorcycle nutty I am.... and has agreed to let me have that Friday off!!!!!!!!

(As of right now. But things can change in the 60 days up to that point....)

So, I will be making my way down there on Wednesday evening.... And riding through the weekend!!!!!

I think the Lions Den book store is open 24 hours. There is a second strip club back behind the LIberty Truck Stop across the interstate from the Microtel.
