So it begins. As the Olympics start, we wait to see if there are acts of terrorism, controversy, miracles(?), and wether the U.S.A, can come away with the most medals. Post comments on what you like, didn't like, saw, missed or wished you saw/missed.

In the opening ceremony, when the 5 Olympic Rings came into being, and there was only 4, I couldn't help but think that Putin ordered a few "comrades" to go get who was responsible for that embarrassment on the world stage. I do find the ceremony entertaining though.

The opening ceremonies were cool. I was amazed at the choreography. For all that production, the only real glitch being a ring not opening...Not bad. There was also a red dancer during the anthem who was lost. They lasted a long time!!

That projector system on the floor was amazing. They'll be fun to watch. GO USA!!

Yeah, I saw the little red dancer too, and thought it added a human factor to what would be expected of Russian precision ie..The Russian Ballet.

Watched the Netherlands sweep medals in 5000m, no one else even close. Of course the female ice skaters are always a pleasure to watch!

Speaking of female skating, did anyone see the 15yr old Russian skater Lipnitskaya? She was phenomenal!!!

I have three daughters, so guess what's on? I was disappointed that French girl didn't get a better score. However, that Russian girl was amazing. Not a big skating fan though...I don't like the subjective events. Probably because I don't see the obvious things they are being scored on. Like how the Japanese girl got a better score than the US girl even though she fell.

I understand the degrees of difficulty, but some of it is just crazy. I like first place by the clock. No judges, and no controversy. Either they're faster, go further, or it's better or not. Makes it easy!

Speaking of, did you see Finland dominate that women's cross country race. Holy crap!

Yes, she was also incredible. But this young figure skating couple from Canada were truly amazing, they put on an absolutely phenomenal performance eh. jes' sayin' and nuff said!
