I think Marty is some hoyty toyty President of some secret association that hold it's annual convo on that weekend. They expect him to be there, to ensure all the strippers show up as promised...yes, he is Fooked.

I have a spare room, if you want to leave a day early, you can stay here. Same on the way back if needed. I may be going with a few other bikes, don't know yet.

As much as I enjoy this event and riding my FJR on the curvey Southern Ohio roads, I like road racing my SV much much more :yahoo:

St. Marys? Need a zipcode or gridsquare, 'cause googlemaps puts it 200+ miles WEST of Marietta. If you're following Geek out of Columbus, you might end up there...

Well, iffn I am able to finagle some vacation time for this...and I think I might be able to...I am really looking forward to this.
I would definitely look into the motel that Bungie and John D stayed at in Marietta this past year. They mentioned that it was new, and that the price was not too much.

I keep wanting to say Super8, but I believe it was the Microtel (see the msg posted by John early in this thread). There is a Hampton a few hundred feet away. There is a Bob Evans about a 45 second walk away (cheap breakfast!) and 2 gas stations on the corner. The best part Hwy 26 dumps out at the intersection.
Microtel on Google.
Google is showing $63/night.

Hey, FWIW, I spent about four days at the Micotel in Marietta during
last falls' Ramble.
Very accommodating, great location, lots of "walk to"s.
Plenty of places to hang out in the parking lot.
I give it two thumbs up!
