Sunday, June 21; Harley-Davidson Freewheeler Trike Test Ride- 400 miles of Northern Arizona!

Ride departs from Chester's HD located at Northwest Corner of Southern Avenue and Country Club in Mesa.

https://www.chestershd.com GPS Coordinates are in this link. Clutches are out at 1030 hours, stopping at Carefree Chevron located at the Northeast Corner of Arizona Highway 74 and Interstate 17 at 1130 hours. Brunch in Sedona, Fuel in Flagstaff, Mexican Food in Globe, then back home!

PLEASE NOTE: It is going to be HAWT in the Valley of the Blast Furnace, bring many liters of water. Will be nice and cool up in Payson, AZ.

How hot is it going to be in PHX? Hotter than HotRodZilla when he couldn't buy a tire for his FJR from an H-D shop! How Hot: AJ was hot enough to ****!

If I was trike shopping I'd check out the Boss Hoss.

Much better engine than the HD.

Good to see you putting a ride together Don!

Crap Don, I think you'd look much more better on one of them CanAm Spyders than a stinking old HD Trike, even a Ural would be better than the HD plus, with the Ural you could still go off road! JSNS

Don, seriously, be careful on that thing with your shoulder. They're harder to turn than a standard MC and require counter input by body weight.

Those freewheelers are sharp look'n trikes. Our dealer has sold 4 or 5 already.
Same situation here in The Valley of the Blast Furnace Mark, all of the dealers have already sold 4 or 5! I will have mine by the end of the month!

Get ready for this marcusorelius and Duchess the FJR Dog, I'm going to build a box on the trike for my Labrador Retriever Oso! Woof, woof, Ai!

No Way Jose, I put five miles on a Freewheeler on City Streets yesterday and it was easy peasy on my shoulder! AJ the front forks on the Freewheeler are completely different than anything else in the Big Twin lineup, Rake and Trail have been modified to make it super easy to steer. It has a fully adjustable steering head hydraulic damper, I put it on the Fat Ass Irishman setting and it was exactly as easy to steer as my H-D FXD Dyna Super Glide. As far as requiring counter input by body weight goes, I am taking it up and down the Salt River Canyon plus Oak Creek Canyon Roads. Those twisties will put it to the real test! When Life Give You Lemons: Make Lemonade with Bombay Sapphire Gin, three shots!

One of the locals I know has parkinsons, traded his bigtwin for one, must be easy to drive cause u could knock him over with a feather.

There's a good reason 3 wheeler ATVs were finally banned. So go slow in the twisties, and heaven forbid you have to make any sudden evasive manuevers Don.

Received this last night from my Nephew Henry Garza:

Maybe mi Tio is on to something......

So good to hear your spirit has healed Don. Go get 'em. And be careful on that gizmo special one.

Thanks to You and all of my Other Motorcycle Friends at FJRiders, AZ Beemers and FJR Forum my Spirit has finally healed.

I especially have to thank mi Amigo HotRodZilla for his weekly contacts to keep me supported and motivated on my PT. Example:

"Listen Up you Fat, Old and Ugly Irish Prick; If I hear of You slacking off on your Physical Therapy I'll ride my FJR over from Albuquerque to kick your Paddy Ass! Or perhaps, I will just have one of my Daughters stomp on your Big Fenian Butt! Saludos y Recuerdos y Abrazos - Alfonso R. of Nuevo Mexico, ese!"

Two Items: 1) I am so shocked and confounded that the Roman Catholic Church has not Canonized AJ with his Sainthood, Padre 'Zilla has a nice ring to it!

2) Really amazed and saddened that Hallmark Cards has not hired HotRodZilla to write his prose and poetry into their "Get Well Soon" lineup. JSNS, ese!

Don, really glad you are ready to get out riding with the rest of us crazies. I was really surprised that you recovered so soon. What outings can we plan to see you at this summer?
