NOTHING!!!!

With so little time before the game I'd hoped to read some rather bellicose ramblings including the usual: "My team"; "We're going to..."; "You won't be able to..." inflammatory statements.

Nada! Nyet! No! Uh-uh! Zero! Zilch!

Where's the fun in that? C'mon, with a mere 4 hours before the coin toss you more rabid fans are surely primed to provide some interesting reading for we who are more casual onlookers.

In my best Pat Paulsen voice:

We (New England) have done everything we can to prepare for this game. Like every game this year, we need to get better and improve. We are facing a quality team and we will need to play our best to win. We have great respect for our opponet and expect that they will bring nothing but their very best. This should be a very good game.

A sports reporter could starve to death with interviews like Belichick and his team provides

Oh --> Go New England.

Funny stuff, Alan. Pat Paulsen's dead-pan was hilarious, especially when his opponents were intense.

I, too, would like to see the Pats go Super Bowl-0. It was an amazing feat for the Dolphins to do so. It would be interesting to actually see it happen again.

I hope its a good game, whoever wins. I was just hoping for some emotional incitement...caustic discussion and bragging...passion...something! Maybe they are all at their respective Super Bowl Parties?

Lets put it this way: If the Giants pull this off it will be one of the bigger upsets in stupor bowl history. However, considering that Superbowls are traditionally boring games, I'm hoping for a tight game for some interesting drama. I just hope like hell the refs don't steer the game.

I eat bean dip in the face of your new york wimps predictions of success!

There, how's that for passion guys?

Patriots will hurt Plexiglas in the first series and he goes down, and the nation gets bored as the Pats roll to a 42 to 21 boring (to everybody else) win.

The Giants better hope it doesn't come down to a field goal at the end -- he chokes a LOT.

And Moss rocks! Last game with the wimps he had 6 receptions....look for the same with two TD catches.

And the Giants couldn't hold the Red Sox jocks, let alone the greatest team of all time. The Pats!

So Mad Mike, how's that for bellicose prognostications!

OK, the game is less than 48 hours away and I want to try a new munchie for the game (besides the usual chips, fritos, bean dip (my wife has banned it for some reason). Any suggestions?
This may change your life. Two words: Corn Nuts.

You can thank blame me later (for your addiction)

PS - On that bean thing responsible flatulation is the key. Either that or blame the dog. :dntknw:
If flatulence is the issue, you could always get some Kashi GoLean cereal for a snack. That stuff will make you gassy beyond belief. Then, you could "offer" to go back to the less gassy bean dip as a compromise. Just a thought.

I tried the dog excuse....didn't work :glare:

I've decided Fabreeze is my friend....lots of commercials, so I'll keep the farts in the couch, not shift cheeks and as opportunity arises, spray some shots of Fabreeze on the cushion..... that's my game plan.

I said it before and I'll say it again, that's why I don't analyze or bet on football, and that's why they play the game.

GO G-MEN!

Wow....Wow, I am speechless. I can say that I am not totally surprised that the Giants won, I figured they played em tough the first time and NE hasnt exactly been totally dominant but to win like they did was pretty cool!

Bill Belichick after the game.....has an NFL coach ever been a bigger jerk? Notice how he didn't give credit to the Giants and he didn't reference anybody by name.

Although I am not a Giants fan, I give them alot of credit. Eli played great but the Giants defense made a strong claim for the MVP title.

Just in case ya didn't see it, but I think Eli just farted in yer face... :clapping:

:)

That was a great game. Gotta love fourth quarter excitment like that. I didn't think the Giants had it in them, but they did. Way to go. They're still toasting their perfect season down in Miami tonight.

The worst 18-1 team in the history of the NFL.

Pats had been dodging that bullet all year. What better finish than to finally lose a game on the worldwide stage?

That second down sack on their last drive was the exclamation point on a fitting demise to that "Dynasty".

All of the above IMO.

Yeah, I was still sore about that ******** "Tuck" ruling in the 2001 AFC game.

There is justice! Thank You Giants!

From another forum:

Lost in the three super bowls in four years, is the fact that they narrowly escaped all three and shouldn't even have been in the first one (tuck rule year).
I feel like they are an excellent team with a great coach that knows how to win close games. They are not the juggernaut of the 80's Niners, and not even in the same ballpark with the 70's Steelers.
Couldn't have said it better myself!
