FWIW - the title of the thread was changed from "OH $h!t" to target fixation by the mods here..... Was not me that titled it that....For those who don't want to be potentially ambushed by some grizzly dead motorcyclist videos, an introduction to a link and not just a link with a vague comment ahead of it is appreciated. No dead MCs in this one, thankfully, but not through any fault of the rider's. It his shows a guy merging onto a freeway and astonishingly cutting through the merge-lane diagonally straight into the traffic lanes, where he bumps into the side of a pickup truck, goes down, and apparently does not get run over.
I don't see this as target fixation. What was he fixated on? It's a gently curved merge lane that you could take at 100 MPH. And he doesn't seem to have been going all that fast. All I can think is that he was dreaming about his girlfriend and just went straight instead of turning the bike. Gear would not have helped if a car went over the top of him....
