we got slowed down after that as we lost Steve (Jorstin) due to major clutch failure. his bike is still in Portland and he flew home.

as soon as we hit Cali it was back to normal.

Richard you will happy to know the place we are going to for lunch has fish and chips.

For real? You know that Andy and I are Brits too, right? Fish and chips are a big favorite with us.
I make fun of Richard because he does not eat a wide variety of foods. I have cut that list down even further to be just fish and chips and tease him about it whenever food is brought up. His next favorite after fish and chips is Burger King. Yuck!

Do you need anything for the fuse block install on Slappy's bike? I can bring a heat gun and shrink tube, relay, velcro sticky tape, etc? (don't have any wire loom at the moment)

BTW, Churchill's in San Marcos has great fish and chips, along with alot of pictures of motorcycles at Isle of Man. Info for future considerations...

I think I have everything for Slappy's install. Penny Lane is just down the street from Churchill's has great fish and chips too. I am open to go where ever everyone wants. We can revote when everyone is at mi casa.

It is probably more fun to ride down to San Marcos than just over to Rainbow. Even though it would be nice to outnumber the Harleys there for once.

Didn't mean to change your plans for the tech meet, just a suggestion for the future.

FYI, Penny Lane is a Beatles theme and a bit Americanized. Churchill's is a motorcycle theme (if it has one theme?) and a bit more British. The local Norton and Triumph clubs used to meet at Churchill's - not sure they still do though. Both pubs have great fish and chips...and bangers and mash, and shepard's pie, and... B)

Let's see what everyone wants to do. i am always up for a new place to eat. I am not sure if my bike will be working since we are doing the valve adjustment. If I need shims we will need to go to NCY to pick them up and that is only a few miles away from San Marcos.

I thought we could also have a swap meet during tech day if any one is interested. Bring your old stuff that you don't want any more and we swap or sell items. Any one interested?

I have some stickers, patches and a used twice motorcycle cover I want to sell.

Good idea. We can have a look around our garage and see what there is.

I'll check my garage to see what kind of ****... I mean valuable items I can bring.

If anyone is interested, when I go to Fallbrook, I'll be taking 5 to Ortega Hwy, to the 15 south. I'll come home via the 5 as it's real hot on the 15.

I'll send PM for address and details. I plan on attending to watch and learn. Bike will have already been serviced (80K) and prepared for my upcoming 4000+ mile Western journey July 23rd.
What's left on the "We need somebody to bring this" list?

John
Due tell. Your 4K miles would include...?
Sorry Sante Fe, I was away for awhile and didn't see the post.

Leaving 7/23 for Spearfish/Sturgis SD for the National Retreads Rally 7/27 through 7/30. This is the week BEFORE the madhouse known as Sturgis starts, and I am told that it is a perfect time to be there because all the vendors are there, but the crowds aren't. We get the cheap hotel rates and leave just at the official start of the event. On the way up and on the way back we will be hitting just about every National Park and Monument along the way, including 3 days in Yellowstone. The only States I won't be hitting in the West this trip are New Mexico, Washington and Oregon. Hope to catch up with you on Sunday.
