Is there room for an (FJR) newbie to come, meet - greet - and watch before I go to work?

I need an excuse to get out and ride sunday mornings before work...this would be

perfect.

PM Sent.

Jeff is not coming so I am going to attempt the valve adjustment myself. I am going to start Saturday and hopefully finish it before you mucks get here. I will go over it and show you what I did.

Now we'll have to help John get his bike running... :dribble:
Your not touchin my bike pretty boy.

I got home no issues and discovered our AC doesn't work, specifically the FAU fan doesn't go on. I suspect a relay issue. The compressor works fine, but I'm no AC guy. It's bloody hot right now.

OK all, let's do a tech day at FJRBluesman house. The project will be dismantling his AC unit and try to get it working again. Cold beer will be on tap. If no one is interested at this time, maybe we could postpone the job until January.

Who is onboard for doing it now or waiting?

Better yet, does anyone have AC knowledge or know of anyone who does? Let's hear it for community spirit. :fans: :fans: :fans:

Thanks John for hosting the "Tech Day". Had a great time shooting the **** and creating my wish list. I especially enjoyed helping Fairlainer celebrate his 94th birthday.

Sorry I didn't take any more pictures of the bikes. I was way too busy flapping my gums. Maybe I can get some if I join you guys up the mountain on the way to the camping trip.

What the hell's going on here. One lousy picture of a birthday cake? I assumed that we'd get a live video feed like Richard had when Smitty did the cruise controls. I was looking forward to it. I haven't seen a good comedy in years.

It was great meeting all you guys (and gal). Sorry I had to

bang out early but work is work....

It was especially cool to see other FJR's and their farkleisms.

Thanks to johnny80s for hosting the "Tech" day, however I

suggest you schedule less work for us all to do next time,

I was exhausted.

<_<

I hear ya! Eating guacamole, bagels, Richard's ice dream cake, and drinking coffee, really wore me out too. What was really hard was listening to John babble-on about his valve adjustment job. We don't even know if it worked!

I am just buttoning everything up. Had to have my friend come over and help me with the cams. I did not get it in right. They are correctly now. It is not a hard procedure but there are some tricks to make it go smooth. I have 7 hours into it right now. I figure about 2 hours to close it all up.

I am going back out to the garage in a few minutes.
