A local dealer, Freedom Motorsports in Princeton, WV will offer the tire prices below to any forum member attending EOM. Princeton is about 2 hours south of Lewisburg and is along one of the suggested routes. They will mount the tires while you wait. And speaking of while you wait, they are offering demo rides on a Roadliner 1800, on a 1300 Roadliner and possibly a couple of other models as well. Additionally, if there is enough interest, they are offering to set up a lunch. The tire offer holds for either Fri or Sat, but to do lunch, they ask we choose which day and give them an estimate of how many to prep for.

So, speak up here if ye be interested.

Tell um Sunday for a fresh ride home. I expect to use up my skins at EOM. Putting a new front on later tonight for the trip

OH,

and tellem thanks for the offer.

Hey, good some interest here. Tell me Jim, do those prices include mounting?

Also, something to keep in mind. Saturday is the dinner and door prizes. The banquet hall is opening up at 6:00 but I'm figuring dinner will be at 6:30. Door prizes to follow.

Jim, I'm not looking at the routes, right now. Is one of the shorter rides on Saturday? If so, I'd vote for lunch on Saturday.

I need new shoes now. 4400 miles on the OEM 020's and they are history. Getting a new set of Pirelli's from my dealer for 270 a set. I can't wait till EOM. It is a little more but I like to take care of the folks that take care of me. :clapping: New shoes for EOM. :yahoo:

Hmmm.... Wish they were offering the storm as well.

If I need a rear, maybe I'll just go with an AV56 and leave the storm on the front.

Keith, I'm pretty sure that the Avon's probably are the Storms. You'd need to verify that, though. I don't think that they make the Azaro any longer. Besides, in my opinion the Azaro is a much better tire than the storm, anyway. I've run 4 rears and 2 fronts of the Azaro. Decided to try the Storm when it came out since I had high confidence in Avons. Well, what I can definitely tell you is the Storm will never come near my bike again. If indeed these are Azaros, you might consider scooping 'em up.

I'll be spooning on a new rear Storm tomorrow so I hope I won't need tires at EOM, but it is good to know they are available at good prices. Thanks for setting this up for us.

Regarding test rides, I fell in lust with a little gray R1 at WFO but they wouldn't let us ride the sport bikes. All I could do was fondle her. Any chance they'll let us ride one of those? Just teasing because I don't really expect it.

Jim, is this just a ride in deal or do we need to make a specific appointment with the dealer?
I do not have a definite answer, but I'm glad you asked. Thought we would let this thread continue over the weekend (and maybe into next week) to get an idea of the level of interest and then make contact with the folks at Freedom MSports and see what's next. They can generally get tires w/in 2 or 3 days, so that leaves plenty of time. Will post up again when I know more.

 I've been told there is a definite possibility of test riding a used 05 R1 if that works!
