I blame my mistake calling Joey Dunlop Joey Bishop on my Facebook page due to my head cold that I have been medicating with a sampling of the twenty single malt scotches they have at the bar here at the Sulby Glen Hotel. My cold is not any better but I am sleeping like a baby.
Well yamafitter, just explain that to Old Michael's Uncle Seamus and my Nephew Liam from the IRA Provisonal Wing, when they come calling on you at midnight eh!

Don, when they see that he's Polish, they'll probably just skip the interview and move right on to kneecapping penance.

At breakfast yesterday on of our group left the toast in the toaster too long and set off the smoke detector. I said 'OK, I seen this same thing happen on Fawlty Towers and know the drill'. Rosie the owner immediately demanded to know who said that. I blamed Bart since he was the one that burnt the toast.

After breakfast we went up the road 10 minutes to the ARE Classic Bike Collection. The owner was kind enough to move his Ariel Square Four sidecar rig out into the sunlight so we could have a better look...

He then proceeded to give rides to some of our group....

For those who did not understand the Fawlty Towers reference I offer the following educational material.....

This is what 190 mph looks like from a few feet away....

That was the speed Guy Martin and Michael Dunlop were going in the earlier photo I posted.

Amazing. You folks should be here.

I spent some time in Douglas with the intent of finding some gifts for the family. Instead I found ice cream at the Davidson Manx Ice Cream store.....

The sidecars were actually the first session for this practice and then the Supersports and Twins. The Superbike session was cancelled due to rain up on the mountain.

When we were in the paddock we were hoping to catch a word with Guy Martin but were unable. We were however able to have a conversation with Simon, one of Guy's entourage. During our discussion I mentioned that I had tried to have Don join us on this trip but Don whined and snivelled about the expense. Simon had a word for our old BeemerDons....

Simon's right, this ****** definitely regrets that he didn't go to the IOMTT with you. Isle of Man TT is back to the front of Papa Chuy Viejo's bucket list, it's going to push back a new BMW Wasserboxer though!

After dumping the birds we picked up I need some sleep and we have a 9:15 AM loading on the cat ferry for Douglas, IOM. Now the fun really starts.
