I'm in. Room Booked.
I'll be riding up from Tucson, checking in Wednesday.

Anybody got a good route recommendation from Tucson to Sparks.
Stay off I5!

I would do I10 to Phoenix, then take 60/93 NW to Kingman. There are a few options from there. You can run 95 in Nevada up or come though Cali on 395 and criss-cross the mountains all the way up. If you haven't been to Yosemite, that is a great ride and It will be a bit cooler in the mountains. If you end up in Redding, your welcome to stay the night if you need. If your coming out of Tucson, you may already know to stay hydrated. If you have not already read BigD's excellant post on "Outsmarting Mother Nature", I would give it a read.

If your going to ride up the Cali side, let me know and I will find some nice roads up here in Nor Cal

Greg

Looks like 95, did 395 on the CA side a few years ago. It was Warm too.

Camelback and cool vest cleaned up and ready to go.

Wish I had time to be in Redding, no time this trip. Hopeing I can find time in the fall to visit Sis in Seattle and Northern California.

Great to see you are riding out Karl.

95 in Nevada sucks so if you can https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Beatty,+NV/Bishop,+CA/Sparks,+NV/@38.2199409,-119.3695756,8z/data=!4m25!4m24!1m5!1m1!1s0x80b898d367a1b6f9:0xc6776c0873ea0776!2m2!1d-116.7592265!2d36.9085566!1m10!1m1!1s0x80be16019ea66407:0x13cd1e4d95e98916!2m2!1d-118.3996636!2d37.3614238!3m4!1m2!1d-118.8597484!2d37.6284421!3s0x8096061af25e7fd7:0xb68f38e74ea1fad0!1m5!1m1!1s0x80993ed409896c93:0xf189599a50856df9!2m2!1d-119.7526886!2d39.5349112!3e0?hl=en

At least 395 North of Bishop has elevation to keep you cool. 266 and 168 have some fun stuff. You can ride up above 10k feet in the Ancient Bristlecone Pine forest off 168. They have trees over 5,000 years old if you need some firewood

Done.

BTW, How much jail time do you get if you get caught with an Axe in the Bristlecone forest?

Brenda, here are my two cents: Move the order deadline date to June 26, Thursday and the ship date to June 30, Monday. Reason being is that we have riders coming in from as far away as Washington State and that god forsaken hellhole Illinois. They will have to be out on the highways by Monday, July 7th!

Damn phone hasn't rung for work since we got back from GOTC. If it doesn't perk up we won't be there either.

This is starting to turn in to a WingDing, we certainly have some celebrities among the listed group of half wits, pizzletwisters, and registered inbreds. I am really looking forward to enjoying this festive get together. Is it too late to suggest another Beer Swap? Karl, bring some Leninkugels!

Festar and I are really looking forward to witnessing aforementioned Goat Fornication.

He has experience with "Roo's I believe, but may be new to Goats.

We are going to meet up in Red Lodge MT on July 1 and head for Glacier NP, then make our way to the coast for a Pacific assault to San Francisco before heading East to Reno.

After the Roundup we will work our way North and East to be in Sturgis for our windshield installation gig with the great unwashed yuppie masses.

Fixed it for ya.

What route (and days) are you guys taking from SF to Reno? I might hook up with you for the ride over.

Starting to get revved up for this gathering. If I am not able to tag along with any other riders from So. Cal, I may just do the unthinkable (truck the FJR up there). Ann is going to visit her ailing dad, so she is out. Anybody from So. Cal given any thought to times/routes and such?
