NEWSFLASH: The FJR gets shitty gas milage at prolonged high speed.
Learned that two weeks ago. I had my reserve light go on at 130 and Skooter had his go on at 120 once. I think it might have something to do with magnetic forces in the Earth's crust between Tonopah and Ely.

Hey, I just rode those roads and the milage does suck at WFO, and not the event. Someone knows what those three initials mean. But keep it sane and I saw 40 a few tanks.

Congratulations all you Iron Butts! Good job.

From the looks of one of you at the end, it was hell out there.

I live vicariously through other peoples' 1000 yard stares. So, thanks.

Really? I gotta photo for ya, then.....

The end of my ride at White Pine Fever... just a pinch tired, apparently:

That's what I'm talkin' 'bout. Exactly.

Man, that helmet reminds me of last night in Indiana. I kept accumulating bugs. I started thinking, man, I'm going to have a visibility issue, soon. Then I thought, no, that's never happened before. Just relax and ride. Then I got just one too many splats and made the mistake of thinking a quick wipe with my glove will clear things up a bit. Man, was that a mistake. Protoplasm in small splats all over your visor is way more transparent than a shmear of bug juice applied with a glove. Good thing there were isopropyl and a microfiber towel in the bag.

Farkle for WFO-6? Tear-offs!

I always ride with a wetted microfiber towel in my left hand jacket pocket (usually in an opened ziploc lunch bag). When the bug splats start bothering me, I get it out, quick wipe off, and I'm like new again.
