Leaving for Hooterville Sunday the 25th.

Changed oil & Filters, Final drive fluid. checked the depth of the dirt and number of bug splats on the windshield, decided it didn't need a bath.

Due to my excellent map reading skills, managed to turn 1650 mile into 2500. Screw point A to Point B.

Rode it to a business lunch meeting.. mid 70's when I left, felt awesome! 90 on the way back but I didn't mind....

Packed it for the BMRx.

Leaving this evening with a BABE fabulous woman on the back, headed for my start line in Blue Ridge, GA. Hope she's still fabulous Sunday night after 2,000 miles on the stock pillion.

Nothing. Rain finally moved out so yesterday was hours on the mower with 8-10" grass. Good day to work on the tan tho...finally! Today? Nothing. Actually have a lunch-and-a-play date with my wife. I'll suffer through it, maybe take a leisurely evening ride.

Same here. Rain, and more rain today and looks like tomorrow too. If only sugar didn't melt.

Did a quick trip up to the lake for some quality sailing on Saturday and returned today.

What is it about this motorcycle that passes cars so quickly at will? I keep telling it, I'm in no hurry, and yet we urgently need to pass that next slow slalom marker.

Reinstalled the touring screen for the cooler weather, which may or may not be coming.

I also put on the hard luggage for a while to potentially lug more stuff around with me. And then I used Turtle Wax Ice detailer all over her and made her shine. :)

Made it over to the NE corner of the state and back yesterday. Got about 400 miles on the new meats (Angel GT "A") and they are feeling decent enough to abuse now.

On the way back showed some scooter trash (crotch rockets, marginal-if any-gear). that this gray-haired old man wasn't afraid to play. Hard.

Slightly spoilt because there's no way they could tell he was a grey-haired old man since he was wearing full gear  .
I know this, I occasionally suffer from it myself ;) .

Ordered a replacement cable for my Shure 215 ear buds. The original is getting a little frayed from 50,000 miles of wind. I'll keep it for a spare.

Also ordered a replacement dark smoke shield for my Shoei Quest. I got a scratch in my view on the original.

Man I love my Shure 215's. I spent a metric buttload on B5's for my nolans, and the B5's are superb, but rider fatigue reduction and sound quality were better with the 215's for 8+ hour days of riding. Where is Twigg? He's the guy that got me to buy them.

I rode my FJR1 HARD on Saturday, lots of high speed runs on some fantastic backroads. Hit triple digits a number of times, and she continues to pull hard. The bike continues to impress me. Suspension upgrades will take place this winter. Next up is some maintenance items to take care of: oil/filter change, rear diff fluid change, new brake and clutch fluid, coolant drain and refill. When I get done with all that, I'll give her a fine detailing.
