Put the replacement air filter in. I’m trying the Hi Flo Filtro model rather than the OEM unit - the engine will no doubt self-destruct soon.

Rode the bike to Fresno to pick up some new plastic 1/4 rivets for those on the plastic side panels that have gotten janky - those crappin’ things are $4 each at the Honda/Yamaha dealer in Fresno!!

I thought of my FJR's today... working out of town.. no riding. just work.

Rode it Friday (to work), Saturday (BMR), Sunday (GT baseball game with birthday brother), and today (work + BMR).

Life is wonderful.

Cleaned up wiring for the under seat Fuzeblock. Bought 2 plastic screwhead rivets at dealer for $3.99ea. Went to Cycle Gear and bought a 10 pack of 6mm push pin rivets for $5.99. They work just fine.

^^^^ Like him, rode mine home from work. (Thanks, Mount Rainier neighbor, for the insight!)

Started the old 07 and let the fans cycle while I loaded the S-10 on the back of the M/H a few days ago. Now sitting down here in Redding Ca with the S-10 going to see Seth Lamm Monday. 07 will be getting a bunch of work done when I get the chance, when we get home in May I'm hoping to be headed for AK at the end of the month. Hoping to have it ready for La Pine. Darn. both bikes will be needing valve checks when I get home from AK!
As I rode the Angles Forest Rd and parts of the Angles Crest Hwy yesterday I thought of the FJR. The knobby Heidenau Tires on the S-10 had me wishing I was on the FJR, the old 07 is well sorted after 115,000 miles it is still my main squeeze.

Pretty sure the good Angle was riding on my shoulder yesterday, I was riding my corners wide and looking long even chirped the TC a couple of times as I hit a couple of unseen patches of sand. Road conditions weren't pristine, lots of this red sand shit and some wet spots and my first time on the Rd. All the while I'm watching a mysterious white bike behind me and me (the dumb ass) thinking someone else out enjoying the day. There are a few passing sections on the Forest Rd and thinking I really might be holding this guy up I eased up a bit and I got a thumbs up from an OFFICER!

FJR and I might not have been so lucky, JSNS.

Like I said lucky was on my shoulder, I tend to back off when I'm by myself and the S-10 I have only a couple of thousand mile under my belt and the Heidenau's don't inspire confidence. When I'm on the FJR it likes to go even while I'm trying to back off. So I feel lucky.

Waited for the traffic jam to clear out.

Should have put one in the freezer.

Rode up to Soddy-Daisy and back via GA 136 and the very fun Menlo-Mentone run. Hung out in Summerville with a fellow BMR rider who's Gold Wing wouldn't start.

AS I LEARNED ON THIS WEBSITE, we checked his battery terminal connections first and, vrooom!, the Wing started right up. Thank you, FJRForum members.

Rode a bunch of side streets from Seattle up to Edmonds and took the ferry to Kingston. Rode a bunch of back roads to Quilcene. It was a crystal clear day and I saw Mt Baker, Mt Rainier, the Cascades, and the Olympics all from the ferry. I had to turn my head to do it so it took a lot of effort to see it all. Over 40F the entire ride. Beats the hell out of working.
