Chilly. Rode the bike to work, then to deliver a data DVD to a client in a downtown high-rise. The security guy scolded me for parking on the sidewalk.

"Bike parking is around the back", he said, and pointed past the wide pedestrian plaza with bistro tables.

Like the dutiful little boy that I am, I steered the FJR past all the sidewalk furniture, under the tall retaining wall to the bicycle rack, and parked. Stripped out of the 'Stich, and emerged like a butterfly in my necktie, slacks, and dress sweater while on full view of the restaurant's floor-to-ceiling windows.

The most fun is that the only way to get there is up the ped ramp and 100 yards on the sidewalk. Hey, I'm just doing what I was told to do.

Mid 40's this weekend. No rain forecasted. Trevor is coming home to get the car inspected. Looks like we'll be doing some February riding. It's nice to have that to look forward to.

Sunny again, though barely above freezing. Since we've had no rain in a week, I'm riding to work again. Whoever invented Gore-Tex deserves the Nobel Prize.

Right at freezing at daylight this morning. The fireplace is chewing away at the fruits of my wood cutting labor and the coffee is pretty good this morning. No riding this lovely weekend, the camper will be doing family duty for this Mardi Gras (and SuperBowl) weekend. It will be nice too, sunny each day, highs in the 60s, lows in the 30s.

The weather folks say we are getting up to 60+ next week. Think I'll load something on the trailer to get past my 3/4 mile ice field and go for the first ride of 2016. :) :)

Rain front finally blew out, another 2-2.5" dumped in the already saturated yard-swamp, so back to typical weather for us: low 40-50 day, mid 20-30 night. Beautiful clear sky and crisp air this morning. The Plan today? Crank up the fire barrel, clean up the yard debris, drink beer, nap. It's a tough life. But the real kicker is that this weekend is the first SuperBowl Sunday I haven't worked in at least a decade. I ALWAYS worked that day. Got my party groove on

. Wife's coworker rented out the clubhouse at a golf course for "tailgating" w/ brats & burgers, then gametime! I'm calling it my "Snob For a Day" date. The wife is driving, hehehehe.

Forecasted low 60's and sunny. Going riding. :)
Well either the weatherman graduated bottom of his class, or he's an asshole! 50's and rain. Of course, it didn't show up until we were 100 miles from home. 😡

Wind and heavy rain all day, except when it's been raining heavily with a strong wind.

Getting a break from El Nino here in San Jose this week... just over 70F today and the same expected tomorrow for the Super Bowl. I was out running some errands today and damn!... the fair weather riders were out in force. More bikes out there than I'd seen in weeks. Did not see any FJRs but I'd say the mix was 75% cruiser/HD types and the rest were a mix of everything else (sport, adv etc). My FJR was in the garage as my day was yard work and kids' activities but I'll be back on it for Monday's commute.

Regards,

Mr. BR

Trevor and I got out and rode yesterday. High was around 40. Trevor did the heated gloves and I did the heated grips. Beautiful ride and beautiful day. Today will be 50 degrees this afternoon. We may have to pass on riding since it's getting too warm for this time of year. We don't want to mess up our internal heating clocks.

Trying again today. Sunny (looked outside) and low 50's. I think the weatherman said rain. So it should be beautiful. 😎

It was wintery-mixing on my drive into the office this morning.

Then more wintry-mix crap fell outta the sky.

We're supposed to get more of the white stuff through Wednesday.

The bad thing is, we're not gonna get a lot of the white stuff. Nope, but we're gonna get juuuust enough so that people freak the hell out (and make a mess of the grocery store shelves - it's kinda funny), forget how to drive, and, barring a warm-up with a day or so of rain, the road crews will put down enough salt so preclude riding for at least a month.

Few inches of the white death yesterday, and a few more last night. Temps are supposed to go into the shitter by the weekend.

Is it June yet?

SNOW IN ATLANTA !!! CITY GRIPPED BY PANIC !!! Rode to Cornelia for a BMR word of the day.

The sun is shining, and it's 46.

Work is slow.

I'm headed to the house and see how many bikes I can fire up and give a little exercise.
