Visiting Greenville, SC and they're gonna have 5 inches of snow over the next two days.Of course the TV weather peeps are predicting a snowcastrophe...the wurst sturm ever!!!!
They will blame the guy from Illinois for bringin' it! Better lay low.
I should probably stop spouting off in the bar about how great a President Lincoln was as well!

I just hope you got to the store before they sold out of bread....

I know, huh? Most people don't even eat bread and milk every day, but if they hear there will be any sort of adverse weather coming (blizzard, hurricane, etc.) they have some sort of primordial instinct to go to the market and stock up.

Me? I head to the liquor store. ;)

Normally we grocery shop, when a big storm is coming we lay in provisions  Beer and booze are bona fide provisions.

Lets see...

-5 °F overnight and going all the way up to the mid-teens tomorrow with sun (almost like summer). Even warmer on Thursday/Friday with a light dusting of snow - something on the order of 1 to 1.5 feet, depending on how this meteorlogical event develops. Bread and Milk!

Predictions of impending doom south of Atlanta. Mucho ice and wind over the next few days. I have stocked up on fuel for the generator, propane for the back up heat and I have a huge pot of chili on the stove. I just hope the internet ( dsl) holds out.

If your winter is this bad, then our summer is going to be unthinkably bad! Only 3 more months of riding left....man, summer is going to suck!

In the past we have had milder winters that have dragged on, and harsh winters that ended early. Summer can be vastly different, either screaming hot or cool or anything in between..... Mother Nature deals out whatever........

'Tis a brutal forecast for the Northeast later this week..........

oh stfu. this is ridiculous. We are going to get a foot of snow and the salt trucks are spewing salt like horny bulls at a cow convention.

Well, after my last interview, and my flight was cancelled again...I decided to get some groceries for the extra day's stay. Fortunately, my economy rental car was upgraded by them to a Nissan XTerra...seems that 4WD comes in handy. I guess...it just seems to be less fun w/less steering wheel correction. :D

Anyways, nothing was open...no stores, fast food restaurants, blah blah...so I stopped at the only thing open for my grocery needs...a gas station convenient store. Spicy italian preformed sammich for lunch, a Hot Pocket pepperoni for dinner plus Yuengling Tall Boy, and a breakfast biscuit for the am. I guess I'm set...did I miss anything?

So I see you are not yet emancipated from SC. Nice way to get hammered by a winter storm that will miss Wheaton for a change. I'm pretty sure my previous warning is still in effect that you will be blamed, but now no one is out to see you. Good luck getting back to the frozen north from the frozen south! This could be dicey.

As long as you're in the neighborhood, maybe check out the golf at Hilton Head?

Praise the Lord, it's going to be 90F in Phoenix Saturday; I can finally take off my ugly Christmas sweater now, living in Arizona it's the only sweater that I own!

Looks like that roof is cooling things off pretty good right now! ;)

Our son is in Utah on a ski vacation this week and was supposed to return today. Flights are all cancelled heading east.

Lucky bastid gets another day on the slopes.
