Light dusting of snow last night some time after 1am.

Still have the clear coat left to put down on the floor of The Shop. It needs 24 hours for the first coat to cure before that can be done.

--update--

It's still snowing. Nice because of our 4 or 5 year drought (while CA gets national press for a single year or two... poor babies).

It's raining!!! Looks like we are in for 3-4 days of rain, won't end our drought yet but every drop helps.

May be enough time to change the air filter on my Wing

Be careful with the air bag when you go for the air filter. You don't want to launch yourself across the shop.

From my buddy in Miles City Montana:

It's Winter in Montana

And the gentle breezes blow

Seventy miles an hour

At thirty-five below.

Oh, how I love Montana

When the snow's up to your butt.

You take a breath of winter air

And your nose gets frozen shut.

Yes, the weather here is wonderful,

So I guess I'll hang around.

I could never leave Montana,

'Cause I'm frozen to the ground.

It was -23 and with the wind chill felt like -44.

Guess I will quite whining about 20F.

A lot like if I were home, 30* today & chance of snow. But nope, I'm visiting with old friends (and I mean old, as in 1979 Navy roommates) ~330 miles north in Maryland. Yesterday we toured the home and grounds of our 5th president, James Monroe. Trivia tidbit? Most of the furnishings, dishes, etc. still in the house are authentic, owned by Monroe. How come? He was one of the few men of his time who was free of debt when he died so many of the possessions stayed in the family as they did not have to be sold off after his death.

So anywho, we're off to D.C. to meet up with others today to tour the Library of Congress. Tomorrow Gettysburg National Military Park maybe with a little snow. Who knows what else we'll stumble into along the way.

The new visitor center https://www.nps.gov/gett/planyourvisit/visitorcenters.htm really impressed me. Incredible collection of antique firearms and the displays are very well done. When i was there last, they discouraged flash photography, so take a fast lens. You'll probably have the battlefield to yourselves this time of the year. If you're into the period artillery and want to see something different from the usual Parrotts, napoleons, and ordinance rifles, there are two British Whitworth breech loaders the the Confederates used over on Oak Ridge.

The Park Service does a great job keeping this park in immaculate shape; hope you enjoy your tour. Tom

This is one topic that won't burn out any too soon, at least to according to the Turf Rat's shadow.

-7F @10am, but -14F last night when we celebrated my g/f's Bday. Hey, you need to drink more just to stay warm (somewhat).

Moved a foot of snow yesterday and got at least that much more waiting this morning. Patti gets home today so she gets the snow blower back and I stay on the tractor.:) :) :)

Anyone seen the sun today?
Actually, we had sunshine almost all day until about an hour ago. Of course, sunshine doesn't mean warm. My garage thermometer says 20, but the low tonight will be in the single digits with snow again and tomorrow we're looking at teens for a high. By Monday, we'll be back in the 20's again. Crap...

No sun, but no rain - cloudy and a high of 60 today. I just pressure washed the deck in my shorts and a t-shirt.

Tomorrow calls for partly cloudy, high 67-ish. Think I'll take the FJR out for a ride.

This is more like a Pants winter.

It was beautiful here. Went for a great ride. No snow on the smooth roads, which was awesome.

Too bad were gonna burn down in July. As nice as it is now, I wish we'd get 3 feet of the white stuff.
