Walked outside without a jacket at lunchtime. Brrrr...
It's not nice to taunt Mother Nature.

While your new location feels fairly tropical compared to Illinois, the Californians, Zonies and Flatistaners will soon remind you it's not. Don't let them get to you. There are always the truly frozen schmucks in the midwest and Canada.

A little advise from my years in CA: A ride report hurts more than taunting, and is a lot less obvious.

(Oh, that's right. You have to work

Rode home in a freezing Atlanta fall evening: 45 degrees. A little more of this **** and I'll have to zip in my jacket liner. (On the other hand, I did learn that heated grips are NICE.)

OK - flag on the play! Illegal procedure on the yankees - 500 miles and replay October please!

WTF is this cold ****? 31 degrees, wind blowing stupid, and cloudy this morning? In South Louisiana? In mid-November?

This is not funny. You northerners can take this crap back right now. No one can eat Gumbo for 5 months. We will deal with this in late January. But for now, I've got some riding left to do.

Pants is NOT a happy camper this morning. My tootsies are chilly.....

Thanks for the advice Tom...but my RR days are likely over.
I hear ya Mark! I just checked the Greenville SC weather and it's 27 degrees there. I'm stayin' warm too.

Some people call them snow tires. I call them knobbies.

My buddies are in the middle of converting their bikes over to ice racing.

Don't blame this on Canada because this weather came out of Alaska. Sarah Palin was shooting up the clouds and caused a Polar Vortex.

9 degrees and sunny. high today 23 with light NE wind. Glad there is some inside work to do.

23 balmy degrees this morning. Unseasonably cold for the wet side. Watershed muffs and heated grips will be welcome later this morning!

Tom,

I didn't say my riding days are over, just my RR writing days.

I rode down to Laurens, SC to see my buddy Duane/1911. He's doing me a huge Griff-like favor so I can have heated gear and gps on the 13.

SC is a wonderful place to be this time of year.

Just having fun with you Mark. I have no idea what you're talking about, but throw a picture our way once in a while. Wouldn't kill ya unless you sold the camera to buy your bike.

I donned the electric gear and went riding today. It's sunny and brisk (34), but I really didn't need the electrics. As long as the roads are dry and clean, there is plenty of fun to be had here. The leaves have pretty much cleared out, and we haven't had the first dose of salt yet. My ride Tuesday, I brought the bike back on reserve, and needed to get some gasoline in there anyway. $2.89 per gallon in the high tax state of PA. I'll take it, but I wish our government would either free the gas or the booze.

Temps in the mid 50's. Rode yesterday, today and dual sport tomorrow. Thought about the heated seats and grips on the hippo but didn't need them.
