Friday I rode my bike to the shop for tire change, mid 50's and beautiful.
Yesterday we went to Rapid City for the Black Hills Stock Show and Rodeo at 1330.

It was cool, high 30's and foggy.

When we came out of the Rodeo at 1600 the temp had dropped to mid-20's in fog and rain! I-90 was a sheet of ice. It took almost two hours to travel from Rapid City to Spearfish, about 45 miles. As we passed through Sturgis they closed the Interstate behind us. At least 20 cars off the road, on their tops or sides along the way. Semi's jackniffed or stuck in the driving lane unable to climb mild inclines on off ramps and on ramps or over bridges. I'm creeping along at 20 mph while Ffing idgits are flying by me at speeds well in excess of reasonable.

The interstate remains closed between Sturgis and somewhere East. We got 2" of snow on top of the Ice, a good day to make some stew and look out the window.

You were not on the bike to the rodeo were you????

No, bike in shop waiting for Ffing Front Tire of the appropriate size - Slaps for head and moans! We were in my daughters '14 CRV, which did surprisingly well all things considered.

UNBELIEVABLE! I have lived in Chandler, Arizona since 1990 and never have seen Fog. So thick right now, I can't see across El Camino (the road) ese! ...
I suggest you ease up on the tequila

10" of wet heavy snow. Wifey looks to be struggling a bit clearing off the drive
Kinda suxs here in the Midwest . Wet heavy stuff just keeps falling down.

Course, on the plus side if it was light and fluffy, we would be up to our eyebrows in it.

I rode Scar to work in the rain at 65 F this evening. Supposed to be 41F with a chance of rain when I ride it home in the morning. My Harley riding co-workers just shake their heads at my stupidity when I stroll in wearing my riding gear. Secretly, I think they are right.

-13 °F tonight. Wind chill well below that. Enough wind to drift the most recent dump of light fluffy stuff so it has to be cleared again. Two blizzards and two other major snowfalls since the last couple of days of January. No thaw and no warmer weather in sight. Running out of places to put the snow - 5-6' banks on either side of my driveway. Snowblower quit working and probably not worth fixing - even if I had a place warm and dry enough to work on it. Will try to tough it out with a shovel for the remaining 12 weeks of winter. Ahh, the joy of living in the Northeast (at least from early December to late March, sometimes April).

Anyone sensing a hint of desperation in this post?

They said "Cheer up, things could be worse". So I cheered up and sure enough, things got worse!

80F here in Central Arizona, 82F tomorrow; Gramps-Dan-BeemerDonS had to stop halfway on our Kearny ride and remove our jacket liners, a real scorcher! JSNS, eh!

iPhone says 37F and sparklingly clear at 9:15 pm, so I'm bundling up for a quick 60-minute spin to check on construction of the new Falcons stadium. See you later!

<edit> Hope they put in big enough speakers for the fake crowd noise.

I had to use my 4x4 to get the wife and I to work this week. Fresh snow yesterday and 9*F on the way home from work earlier today...no idea how cold it is now because who would be dumb enough to go out there?

Canadians.

-4ºF at 5:00 this morning. The incredible snow machine is getting ready to crank up and deliver for the next 3-4 days. At this point there are places where my snow blower is having a hard time getting the snow up and over the snow banks. Speaking of the phucking snow blower, during the last use it sheared off the cotter pin that holds the gears for the chute control and for some unknown reason the totally unrelated auger, blower belt broke at the exact same time. The belt pulleys are a lot like the FJR starter motor, you can look right at it and think how easy it's going to be to change. Then when you start the job you realize it's going to suck. Really suck. You have no idea how quick fingers go numb holding metal tools in an unheated garage when it's <10º. At this point I would consider taking it to the shop (and wait 2 weeks, with all the snow that would fall in that time), but my trailer is so snowed in I would need the snow blower to free it. Now ain't that just life

Did a 110 mile loop yesterday. FJR dash showing 64 to 68. Mid 60's forecast again today.

Stopped at Enterprise Reservoir.
