...Besides, that old snow blower never threw snow so far. I was making it all the way over to the neighbors driveway.
Just after we got snow bombed in November I replaced the friction wheel, drive belt and adjusted the auger/impeller belt. It's been years since my snow blower had such a long range throw and boy was it needed this time. My blower can now hit the roof of our shed and over load it, it can reach our bird feeding station and knock birds off the feeder pegs and fill our front yard with a snow bank 2 stories tall. Hey, ya gotta have something to do during the 2 hr ordeal of clearing two driveways, beer freezes up in the cup holder ;)

My Husqi has nice warm heated grips. Came in handy with the bitter cold we have this storm. I'll have to get one of those cup holders. Great idea! I don't believe that it freezes though. You drink too slow :)

Never owned a snowblower in Wheaton. Louanne and I would shovel. More recent years we would use our sons for that stuff as "rent".

We brought our snow shovel down to Greenville. The neighbors come in our garage and stare, and ask what those things are.

This morning started out 4C (39F) and sunny, perfect for riding. After a while it was 2C (35C) and snowing.

A little later (having given up on the riding

The weather here is perfect for a delicious coffee stout with a touch of maple syrup sweetness. 8.0 ABV
As Don would say...JSNS
My neighbor picked me up, and we went out to lunch at the Brew Kettle. Had a couple 9.5% beers with lunch. Came home...currently making a pot of chili, and enjoying more beer...what the hell, it ain't like I can go out and drive around. Might as well drink.

Joe, no one give a f#%k what the weather is when they know how to properly spend a day. Hope that is compatible with any painkiller you're on.

I've cut way back on the pain killers, gonna cut back even more this Sunday. Have my follow up appointment with the doc next Thursday, hope to be off the pain meds by then.

A man has to believe in something, I believe I'll have another drink...

Glad to see the recovery is progressing!

I had to fire up the lawnmower and cut my front yard yesterday. I had a huge bunch of green clover over a foot high in the middle of my otherwise brown front yard. I wanted to just cut that down but once I did, the rest of the yard looked so shabby... It was almost fun to smell freshly cut clover and lawnmower exhaust.

This is so embarrassing to report, it has been raining for the last 24 hours here in Phoenix and it is still raining as I type this! Here we have invited all of our out of state friends to Arizona for the Super Bowl and the Phoenix Open, yet it won't stop raining! We brag about our sunny weather and the fact you can wear Bermuda Shorts to Church on Christmas morning, yet it is raining! I don't know whether to blame the Patriots, the Seahawks or Tiger Woods for bringing this wet weather with them; but, somebody had to pay for this! jes' sayin' and nuff said, WET! https://weather.aol.com/forecast/US/chandler/id/USAZ0034

Yeah, but it's a warm rain... ;)

All the news casters we see on the WMUR reports from Phoenix are rubbing in the fact that they missed the blizzard earlier this week. And most of us are green with envy, even though it may be damp by AZ standards.

Snow yesterday, followed by yet another arctic cold front blowing through. -30 this morning.

On the plus side, I came home from work last night to find my driveway plowed. I'm thinking Line's dad is gunning for a couple of bottle of wine, and, I'm good with that.

UNBELIEVABLE! I have lived in Chandler, Arizona since 1990 and never have seen Fog. So thick right now, I can't see across El Camino (the road) ese! jes' sayin' and nuff said, Weird!

We had an early taste of spring in Montana last week. Several days of 40-50s with plenty of sunshine. Almost no snow left, but some mud. Looks like 4-5 days of normal winter temperatures (highs in the 20-30s) then another multi-day blast of spring weather.... and riding.

Friday I rode my bike to the shop for tire change, mid 50's and beautiful.

Yesterday we went to Rapid City for the Black Hills Stock Show and Rodeo at 1330.

It was cool, high 30's and foggy.

When we came out of the Rodeo at 1600 the temp had dropped to mid-20's in fog and rain! I-90 was a sheet of ice. It took almost two hours to travel from Rapid City to Spearfish, about 45 miles. As we passed through Sturgis they closed the Interstate behind us. At least 20 cars off the road, on their tops or sides along the way. Semi's jackniffed or stuck in the driving lane unable to climb mild inclines on off ramps and on ramps or over bridges. I'm creeping along at 20 mph while Ffing idgits are flying by me at speeds well in excess of reasonable.

The interstate remains closed between Sturgis and somewhere East. We got 2" of snow on top of the Ice, a good day to make some stew and look out the window.
