Damnit man! stay on topic!
I joined a week or two after this joint opened, just bought my 04 and wanted to learn ****.

Plus I had just been recognized as a professional drinker and I knew i'd be in good company with Odot an Bearly flying at the time. :rockwoot:

I made the same mistakes as many here do and had me *** handed to me by sythian, who no longer posts here. :sadsmiley: Tim Bates took me by the hand and showed me the ropes.

I sure miss the banter between he and Radman... For those that joined after we lost Tim and Rad walked away? You missed the best times ever witnessed on this place, or possibly anyplace on the net for that matter.

Anyway, now u fuks know why I act the way I do here. I had a great tutor.

:****:
I joined to learn all about my new FJR and fell in love with this place because of You and Odot making me pee my pants laughing. A Lot! Now I'm addicted! I Hate You Now! I hope your left testicle shrivels up like a prune and falls off. Thanks for all the Memories. Kisses.......

Come on MajicMaker, step up to the plate and do correctly...

:****:

Hugs n' Kisses

You are welcome, amigo!

I don't have all the bells and whistles on my iPad Carver. No emoticons at all. Gotta live with it. Bust and I go waaaay back. He knows I love him. It's a manly love though! It's not Gay thing... Not that there's anything wrong with that! :))

Wow! I just googled something else and got this link as a hit:

https://www.pashnit.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8620

Andrew's (OrangevaleFJR's) report on Pashnit about a November 4, 2006 ride he led up Pleasant Valley/Sly Park Roads to Icehouse Road to Loon Lake and then back through Georgetown on Wentworth Springs Road. I remember that ride and that day for so many reasons.

There's the way back machine for you -- didn't know some of those pics existed and we all look a hell of a lot younger. Where did those 7 years go? Damn, I miss Andrew and his ride reports.

I joined way back to learn about the bike. I had bought a 2006 a month before.

I never met TWN in person, but I sure miss his way of setting things straight. I miss Orangevale's and French's ride reports. Radman's techincal reports and others that have come and gone.

I have met some people on here that have become very good friends.

I enjoy how this community of people, many of whom have never met in person will step up to help someone in need.

I came here to learn about the maintenance on the '07 I bought new in Jan '08. I lurked for a long time before joining. I've stuck around, posting infrequently. I gotta admit tho- even with EOM just a few hrs down the road from me, I have no desire whatsoever to attend.

But I keep coming back to offer and seek advice. I'll not ask any questions tho. Did that one time, never again.

Rich, for you.

More of Andrew here.

That's too bad... there are some mighty fine folks here on the forum and the gatherings, at least the ones I've attended, have been a blast. Things are different sometimes when you meet everyone outside of the keyboard... give it a shot... you may be pleasantly surprised. B)

I agree, if you are bored with the local roads that's one thing. But, if you go in with an open mind, you may meet some of the most amazing people.

Sometimes it's hard at bigger events, but if you strike out to meet new people and ride with them, you could be pleasantly surprised.

Even if you don't attend EOM, attend a smaller group ride in your region. I have found that's more my cup of tea, although I will be at EOM and loving it. But it's always good to have local FJR riders around...

If you come to EOM, look me up and I'll buy you a beer. Just to make up for all you other asshats on the board. :D

I don't know what to think about all these Rallys..

Use caution if ya do decide to attend, otherwise ya just might end up in a picture with an *** hat jackwagon!

EOM a couple hours away and you have no desire to attend? Buddy, you are missing out. What’s a matter with you? You don’t like riding motorcycle with friends, having a couple of cold ones afterwards, and telling lies?

I know you can ride these roads any day you want, but this is your best opportunity to make some great friends, have a few beers, and put some faces to these forum handles.

I would suggest you put a big ole band aid on your hurt feelings, pull up your skirt and get on down to Maggie Valley and see for yourself. If my past experience is any indication, you will meet up with some great new friends and have a blast.

I have had an opportunity to have a cold one with these two clowns and can verify they are two fine *** Hat Jackwagons

A quote from EOM that has stuck with me, "______ is really a very nice person and a great guy, I just don't know what happens to him when he sits down at the keyboard." JWilly

There are a number of people that in real life no way resembles the entity you see posting.

If anyone has ever, ever been to one of the FJR gatherings and not had a good time please...

You really have to give EOM a shot

... you could be missing a great time and some fine new friends ..... go ahead, do it !

rbentnail, the people who are real asshats on the forum for no good reason aren't the ones that go to the rallies. They are the angry people who stay home, look in the mirror and yell at themselves too so, don't take any of that stuff too personally. They won't be there. Come Out and meet some of us. It's the absolutely gorgeous location but, it's more for the camaraderie with people you click with. You won't click with everyone but, I'll bet you don't click with all your neighbors either. You can show us where some real fun roads are that only the locals know. :)
