I finally received my Yamaha Heated Grips from D&H Cycle from when I purchased my bike in March.

The OEM heated throttle grip comes with a throttle tube already installed.

My question is if this new tube is differently profiled, or is it as bad as the stock one…since replaced with a G2. From my untrained eye, the two (stock / heated grip) appear to be the same profile. I guess Yamaha thought they would try to make an install easier by already having the new throttle tube installed -- helping justify the ridiculous price.

The next question is if the profile is the same, I am going to damage or screw up anything when I try to take the plastic tube out of the heated grip and put it on the G2.
