whoohooo :clapping: Tioga opens tomorrow the 11th finally !!! :yahoo:

Sooooooooooooooo, 19th is to soon , the 26th is Memorial weekend, so June 2nd is the official date for the fifth annual Yosemite run. For the new guys this is a two day run, Friday night in Oakhurst, Saturday night in Mammoth. This year it'll be a "shared destination " ride, last year turnout was large and too hard to keep everyone together so ride your own ride and hook up for breakfast , lunch or dinner with other riders. Group feast somewhere on Saturday night in Mammoth.

More details in the following days but book the date.

AHHH>>the old days !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Friday night info June 1st............

Availability is tight this year in Oakhurst so I've found the White Chief Mtn Lodge has enough rooms available if we act fast. Rooms are $ 102 to 108, and depending on how many sign up the price may drop. It's located in Fish Camp which is between Oakhurst and the park entrance. Parking lot is paved and they have a BBQ we can use. There's also a restaurant on site too.

BOOK NOW !!!! You must state your with the HIGHLANDER group to get a discount on rooms.

Until 11pm tonight ( Tuesday ) ask for Emily. Tomorrow ask for Leina as she set up the discount for the rooms.

RO-RO-ROCK ON! Hawt-diggity, I'm in! WOOOOOOOOOT! Thanks Hi! :good:

Unfortunately, it's my weekend to work, and those are tough to trade out of.

Maybe Eve & I will cage it up to Oakhurst for some "visitation" Friday night (so she can drive us home).

:drinks:

Pretty early this year, eh? So, will this be the official "Clan Gathering"?

Hope you can trade off weekends!!

It's early as they opened Tioga eary and it's better with the snow around and waterfalls booming !!

Clan gathering will be later in the year as a separate event. B)

Yea, Right! Your just afraid of the parking lots there! :p :p

Marking it on the calendar. Hoping nothing interferes, as it has with every other planned overnight ride within the last couple months. Can't wait!!! Love that area -- my old stomping grounds to be revisited on that ride.

Toe's a *****. A simple tip over drop and he's out of an entire event!!!! He makes it look like he's never been there before, . . . never dropped a bike on its fairing multiple times. Phhhhhssshhhhhhht!!!!!!!

Suck it up, man! Go out and kick it over a couple times in the garage and get used to it, . . .and THEN . . . make whatever arrangements are necessary to join us.

After a very bad month, last June, Toe's very selective about who he rides with these days, especially when two-up, which but by the grace of God I have gone again recently.
I remember that month for you -- too well. I am SO happy to hear eve is getting on the back again. I hear ya about who you ride with** -- loud and clear, and you know I count you among the folks I never have to worry about doing something stupid.

But . . . IF you should be so fortunate as to get the weekend off, here's a suggestion: Judy and I will likely ride down 49 to Oakhurst Friday afternoon/early evening and spend the night there. Sounds like we will see you there one way or another. But should you be on your bike with the weekend cleared, we could use another two up bike to share a sane (and Nat'l Park performance award avoiding) ride over Tioga, down 395 to Mammoth, and maybe a ride back over Sonora Pass on Sunday.

**I've been known to drop well behind on occasion to ride sweep as the safest position (and have even decided NOT to go on rides for the same reasons).

hmm. June 2nd? I'm outta prison by then. You promise not to take the group more than 100 miles in a day? CBA CEO you know..

OBTW "This year it'll be a "shared destination " ride, last year turnout was large and too hard to keep everyone together so ride your own ride and hook up for breakfast , lunch or dinner with other riders. Group feast somewhere on Saturday night in Mammoth." I think this is a VERY good idea. For each rider that means having your own maps, be able to find your own way, ride your own ride, own your life.

Youse guyz injoy yursells !!

Be safe, OK?

I'll be doing a different ride (yes, on the bike, for those of you jumping to an otherwise conclusion) - so I'll be thinking of ya!!

well well....someone remembers, you know I do have a GIVI and can place a whole lot of kebobs marinated in a ziplock back in the back with a giant serving of hummus in one of the saddles. Who said we can't party Lebanese style on the FJR heh?

If there is a grill on oakhurst, we can all pitch in and I can do the cooking and the serving! :D . After a few beers, I can look like the chick in my avatar :flirt:

This isn't the first time Tim has mentioned the KEBOBS. He was quizzing me about them just recently upon finding out that I know/ride with you. I am in if you are cooking Lebanese style kebobs. I'll trust Tim's judgement on this one.
