I don't know for certain the effect on a FI engine, but maybe they left one or more of the caps off the vacuum tap connections for the throttle sync.

We fill a tube sock with rice and sew the end shut, then microwave it. Makes a good toe-warmer on cold nights, should do a good job keeping a clarinet warm.

One thing to consider if adding a zerk to any pivot or other bearing is that if there is no escape for the excess grease, that it is very easy to push a seal out of its bore when greasing the item. At that point you are far worse off than if you had just left it alone, as now you have opened it...

After reading this thread, I think I'll check engine mounts, etc. My '05 puts my hands to sleep, particularly my right hand. A throttle lock helps a lot, just taking my hand off the throttle for a minute or so really helps. I bought Grip Puppies hoping that would help, but it really didn't...
