    G2 throttle cam installation

Thanks for all the replies. Guess I'll clean/lube/reinstall... For the record, here is G2's response to my email inquiry... Lubing the throttle tube is a personal preference. If I were to lube the tube I would use a spray on graphite that dry's but some people use a real light film of...

    G2 throttle cam installation

Question for the folks that have installed the G2 throttle tube... Did y'all apply any sort of grease/lube to the bar or inside of the G2 throttle tube? I don't expect it to impact the ridability of the bike, but I can hear and feel a bit of metal-on-metal when I turn the throttle. Thanks, EricR

Hi Tom, I was wondering the same thing. I emailed G2 this morning to see what they recommend. I'll post something if/when they reply. EricR

    G2 throttle cam installation

Painman, Thanks for the reply. I ended up going a slightly different route. I eliminated the nylon and metal spacers altogether. I replaced them with a single nylon spacer about the size/thickness of four stacked 6mm flat washers. On my installation, that places the bar end very close to...

    G2 throttle cam installation

Painman, Did you resolve the binding issue when attempting to install the bar end? I'm having the same problem on my install. Looks like the new throttle tube is contacting the white nylon spacer and binding when the bar end is tightened down. Thanks, EricR

    DFW area group

Thanks for the details. I'll try to make the Love's gas station by 11, but I'm not sure how long my prior commit will take. Don't wait on me... I know where the Koffee Kup is, and I've printed your directions, so I'll meet you at the restaurant if I'm running late. EricR

For those meeting in Plano on Friday morning.... - Shell station is near the southeast corner of Legacy Dr & US75 (aka Central Expressway) - I believe current plan is to meet at 9:30 - Legacy Drive is Exit #32 (coming northbound from 75) - You are gonna be on the access road for a few...

    Let's go to Arkansas

Tim, There are several hotels within a couple of miles of the meeting place along the access road. To the south, roughly between 15th St and Parker Rd there is Super8, La Quinta, Ramada, and Motel6. To the north, roughly between Bethany and Allen Dr is Hilton Garden Inn, Amerihost Inn, and...

    Let's go to Arkansas

There is a Shell station, with convenience store, on the southeast corner of Legacy Dr & 75 in Plano. If you are coming northbound on 75, take the Legacy Dr exit. Go to the stop light and make a right. The Shell station is on the corner, but the entrance is on Legacy. Tim, there are...

Tire inflation compressor , which one to get

The air chuck on the Cycle Pump isn't the typical 90-degree style. Any trouble connecting the Cycle Pump to the valve stem on the FJR? Thanks, EricR

    Wiring up for the Farkles

I think relays come in "normally open" and "normally closed" varieties. For this app, I believe you want a "normally open" relay which closes (completes the circuit) when 12v is applied to the control pin. Is it possible you've got a "normally closed" relay which is breaking the connection...
