Probably why the wife liked it the way it is supposed to work. I thought it made my hand go numb, but i think the grip pads did more to solve that than the loose spring.

I'll probably be giving it a try sometime this winter. I have the Silverstar Ultras in the Gen II, compared to the Gen III lighting, the Silverstars look and illuminate much brighter.

Had to break her in the idea of having a FJR so I could keep Gen II and trade her original bike in on the Gen III
